    I mean, everyone saying skill issue must be coping with the fact that this game is dying fast. It only got worse after season 3's release. So by all means, call me trash. But when this game dies for good, you will be the ones to blame.

      @@eameyogaming I do think it's more balanced than season 1 and 2, it's just that many people left and didn't come back in season 1 and 2, as well as the fact that many people regard the flow of content to be slow and or too cosmetic focused.

    Ngl I kinda have to agree with the shit posters in the comments section. Honest question: How many hours played do you have? I ask bc a lot of your concerns are generally newer player/very casual gripes.
    Best way to beat cloak is to be nuts to butts with your team. Cloak is great at picking off out of position players.
    Getting winch clawed as a medium, hit crouch to slide out of the way after they pull you in or just keep running past them. Trust me it works.
    Heavy is still very powerful. Light is good, not OP. Medium is close to balanced.
    What people dont understand is this games gameplay is very nuanced. Its not as binary as CoD or Apex. There are techs to almost every weapon and gadget where if you manage to master them you are rewarded.

      As a newer player myself i have been taught by someone who played from first season and i get the grip of the gameplay. But i swear this game is so team based that cheese mechanic does put enjoyment out of the ranked match. Imagine you are left alone with medium healer. Your team died cuz your heavy feel invincible with winch claw melee and your light is somewhere on the roof top. And you just trying to survive 3 teams chasing you for a team wipe. It’s not fun. No one open team talk, in a very team based games. This is why the game is dying cuz it’s not enjoyable for newer players. I slammed my desk more time playing this game than any other game and i play counter strike and valorant.

      200 hours in the game, played all of season 1 but quit for a while after that (because this game isn't very popular and the changes in season 3 made it worse so my friends aren't really fond of the game).
      So you suggest to beat 1-3 lights with cloaks, I have to be right next to my team at all times? Do you hear yourself? Not only does that leave us vulnerable to a devastating rpg/grenade launcher attack, but finding new angles to attack apart from your team should be one of the best parts of this game, given the destructable environments. But guess what? There's a light hiding in a corner cloaked who stuns, lasers and kills me under 3 seconds. It doesn't make for a fun experience. Suggesting to beat cloak that I have to stick with my teammates at all times says to me the mechanic needs some rework.
      Yeah, medium doesn't have the movement speed to do that more than 50 percent of the time, especially when it's a decent heavy player. But, let's say you do manage to avoid the quick mele after the charge sledge hit. More likely than not his teammates are right next to the heavy. You're dead almost no matter what. I think it's about a 20% chance to get out of there alive, and that's if you've got teammates there backing you up.
      Cheese mechanics don't belong in a competetive shooter. I know people say they log onto the game to have fun and that's cool, but I'm in ranked and (as of this season) World tour doing Cashout tournaments where every life counts, unless you want to waste coins. Made it all the way to Gold. And you better believe the higher you go in the ranks, the more cheese mechanics are used. I'm fine playing against good players, even players who are better than me. But for the life of me, I hate dying to something I can't see coming. There's no adapting to something like that.

      @@eameyogaming You are taking what I said and vastly oversimplified my point. You play around your team aka within eye sight/range, the cloaked light cant push you effectively.
      The benefit with cloak is to get a pick and dip. Cloaked lights are usually playing the off angle so if they trade 1 for 1 they effectively put their team at a net negative since, ideally, you will be closer to your downed teammate than they are to their dead light player.
      Everything is contextual. Obviously if there is a heavy on the enemy team don't bunch up. Generally I was just advising to play around your team.
      Like the other guy said, this is a team focused game. You go rogue and die that's on you. I openly tell my teammates that do that and die that they need to pay the "idiot tax"( coin back in) because it's just bad gameplay on their part.
      This game more than most requires thinking rather than pattern recognition. There is always a way to beat something if you think outside the box. I have 3X as much playtime and even today I am learning new ways to deal with problems that I was frustrated with previously. You're upset about winchclaw? Do what I told you, it works. Now you're worried about his teammates shooting you? Dodge the heavy then pop a jump pad to get out.
      TL;DR It's easier to get upset than to get creative. The beauty of The Finals is it rewards creativity. Have fun out there, it ain't that serious.

    Agreed, lights destroy the game for me too. I even tried going to light myself, I was blown away by just how much damage the class does. Performed really, really well.
    But it's not fun to me. I like strategy and teamplay in a skill based shooter, I like setting up gadgets or traps. I like playing the objective over getting k/d. I do not like Call of Duty gameplay.
    CoD is very popular but it's just not my cup of tea. In most games I enjoy the strategy, placement and flanks more than pure aim skill tests.

    Light is definitely not OP, cloak is kind of ass now, I dont have an opinion on dash, the recoil pattern is somewhat easy to remember and its a good thing it cant do consistent damage at long range

    I think that the balance is the best that it has been right now. You had criticisms of each class, and in my eyes that will always prove that the balance is good, each class has very powerful items and each class has weaknesses. If you look at the invis + stun gun, heal beam + defibs and winch claw + rpg, each class seems to have some things that are really powerful, besides the charge and slam is still really powerful so I hardly think heavy is suffering, and I main heavy charge and slam. Also, your points about light dps I would say are slightly invalidated by the fact that this game cares much more about time to kill than dps, due to the class system. For a light to kill a heavy they need to have a low time to kill on that heavy. A few other things are that as others have mentioned, the length of the invis is fairly irrelevant, a good light player will use their invis to enter and exit fights or scout, being able to do so for 10 or 20 seconds at a time will rarely and only situationally make a difference to the quality of information and advantage gained. And thing is that the heal beam does 450 damage. I think that as you can not play offensive while using the healing beam (that is specifically healing someone in a game), this is quite well balanced. If you aren't shooting but are healing a teammate, they essentially replace you temporarily in terms of damage output, so it mostly serves retain health between fights with various teams. Besides, weakening the heal beam would, in effect, weaken the viability of the support medium build, which would have knock on effects between different team compositions, leading to further required balance changes which is clearly the last thing the developers need. I also think that all making the light's dash directional would do would be widen the skill gap between lights, wherein some would continue to perform by adapting and building up muscle memory for turning in the desired direction before dashing, while for others it would make the dash specialisation less viable. So this change seems like it would do more harm than good because balancing should not be based around the lesser skilled players, whilst treating good players like a protected class. I'd love to hear your reply to any of my thoughts here as I love the game and conversing around it is very enjoyable.

      @hugegamer8004 I think you made some valid points. My counter argument would be this: it seems like cheese mechanics and strategies are rewarded more than actual skill.
      For example, when we're talking about the cloak, you say it's mainly used for scouting and providing information to your team. I would argue that it encourages camping more often. Then, since I don't see them when I run into a room trying to get a different angle on the enemy, I get melted with a M11 or XP-54, sometimes after being stunned so I extra can't do anything about it. It just comes off as really corny.
      I actually was not aware that the healing beam heals a full 450 damage. I get what you're saying about healing your teammate in a fight. But alot of people are tired of never ending fights with 3 medium teams. Especially if what you're saying is true, 1 medium could heal 2 teammates quickly while they deal damage on an enemy team. That thing you said about the one teammate effectively replacing you for damage out put? A medium could replace TWO teammates under that strategy. And God forbid if they don't have a medium on their team, because if not they're DONE. And, I really don't think it would have to much of an impact on team compositions. If it does truly heal to 450, nerf it to 250. You can get both a medium and light back to full health, heavy not quite there but pretty close. Especially when this game has automatic healing over time, the healing beam is to strong imo.
      As far as your point on the devs focusing on TTK more than DPS, well, upping the DPS automatically ups the TTK as well, so I'm not sure what your point is there. As far as your point on Light should have a fast ttk on a heavy, I completely disagree. Heavy is supposed to be the tank who can eat alot of shots before he goes down. I've seen heavies get absolutely melted by lights using their smgs, in like, under 3 seconds no joke. So, what do you think that means for a medium player?
      The point you made about the charge and slam is interesting. Besides the Winch claw, that is the only method heavy has to get close to an enemy, as activating charge will make you faster than a lights base movement speed. But only for a moment. And, since their lmgs are basically fried this season, a heavy HAS to get close to enemies to do damage. So, he has 2 options. 1, using the charge and slam, which if you're challenging a cashout, can put you in a really awkward position to be easily killed based on your enemies positioning. Or, they can use the Winch claw, which as I stated in the video is nothing but cheese. It feels like when heavies get kills using that method, it's very unearned. You essentially cause forced repositioning into an almost certain death.
      It just feels like there is ALOT of ways players can cheese their way to a win, or at least an unfair gunfight. Like I said before, it really feels like skill is not very rewarded anymore.

      @@eameyogaming I do agree that teams should not be able to have more than one of any given specialisation, I think if a team was locked to a single heal beam, winch, invis or what have you, the balance would feel much better. But as states previously, if you try to reposition and get killed by a light waiting for you, then your team should be able to kill that light before or after they kill you, and if the light's whole team was there then it is kind of irrelevant that the light was ever waiting or invis. Team play will certainly hard counter invis, I myself have never had issues (outside of my first 100 to 200 hours of playtime obviously) with light invis, my team always sticks together and so far the most they ever do is pick off a single teammate who is most often swiftly revived anyway. In terms of heavy being supposed to tank shots, if the developers genuinely want heavy to be the class that just tanks shots, then it will always be more powerful unless lights are the class which can dish out shots, which currently they can' That much has always seemed obvious to me. Also you mentioned the taser, which I should have spoken more about earlier, because it's true that it is very powerful. As a heavy main like I said, I find it pretty easy to place a barricade when I get tased, so those changes definitely made the taser balance better, but for mediums it's almost unescapable. I do think they should either give medium dome shields as well or instead of heavy as currently, with very limited defense, and the turret having a 5 second cool down, they cannot very well defend themselves from lights (that is if a full team is attacking, as I said with proper team play a single flanking light should not be an issue outside of the new player period). In general, I think that the way ''cheese'' or gimmick strategies can pay off is a good thing, but I know some people care about winning, for some reason despite my genetics (my family members and the ancestors I'm most often compared to, all love sports and winning and being competitive, but that trait missed me), I don't care about winning at all. For me there is no game I've ever played that rewards my skill or gimmick or what have you, apart from maybe sea of thieves where you can sell people's treasure but that's obviously irrelevant to this conversation. So I cannot really relate to you on that front, but I will say that a better player will do better than a worse player using the same strategy, gimmick or cheese or not. So by that account at least, that doesn't seem very problematic to me.

      There will always be a cheese mechanic in every PVP game. If all top rankers are abusing it, then that is a problem. There's no such cheese right now

    I agree with some of your points, mainly on the Cloak situation and the Healing beam nerf is also not a bad idea.
    I think the main problem with Cloak is that its effectiveness highly depends on your opponents setup and eyesight.
    With a 4K monitor and 120 fps you're gunna have no complaints about Cloak because you can easily see them when they're moving. On the other hand if you're running a worse pc that can barely hit 60fps then yes Cloak is going to be very annoying. And if you're the user its essensially just pure luck if that guy is going to see you and kill you in under a second or if he's going to run past you while you get the kill.
    My favorite idea is just a revamp where Cloak is just a panel (like with Dematerializer) and if you activate it you're completely invisible but you can't use your guns/gadgets or interact with anything until you've decloaked (which takes about a second or so and plays a noise so opponents can hear you)

    I think optimization is also an issue. Like, this game is CPU demanding as compared to more popular FPS games due to it's very easy to destroy and large maps with the fancy graphics.

    I think in the broader sense there is very little reason to play the finals over any other shooter out right now except for the level destruction, that's really the only thing I can think of that would make me want to play this game again with friends. Maybe it's just me but the only memorable/fun part of playing this game is going "damn that's crazy" when someone shoots a whole building down with a rocket/util. There are countless other sweaty shooters to play with imo more rewarding gameplay if you have the time to sink into them.

    My main issue with the game right now is dashes and throwing knives.
    Changing the way dashes work is a neat idea but realistically it would just remove all the fun from it. Maybe having two dashes only or a longer recover would make things more balanced?
    Throwing knives need some sort of cooldown. The insane amount of DPS you get from those for a hold-left-click-to-win weapon is ridiculous.

    I agree on only one point: they keep changing the meta so that people try the new weapons (or just different things). Which depending on what player you are, you either adapt to the new meta and learn counter-strats, or you quit the game.
    And I've come to learn people fucking despise change.

    personally I don't play the finals at all anymore because everytime I do it hunts my GPU drivers for sport and crashes my computer (I have a 4080 super and I run the game on low graphics)

      Y’all are literally standing up for terminal tech the game mode that has took away multiple TH-camrs and streamers from the finals. and y’all have never played ranked terminal Tech in top 500 level. It is absolutely terrible.

    Winch secondary attack and melee does 245 damage it doesn't kill a medium. The combo is winch 2 primary attacks and melee for medium and winch primary melee for scout. Without the winch claw the heavy has ZERO way to kill a scout, i uninstalled the game in season 1 after they nerfed the rpg to not one shot scouts because they were bullying me. And even with winch if they have dash they have time to escape, i only came back to the game because of the winch. If you are medium fighting a winch heavy put a jump pad between you and him and if he tries to pull you he will pull you into the jump pad and you will be safe

    Use sonar and thermal vision invisible problems no longer exist but sadly heavy and medium sorry you cant deal with us lights very well and what I mean by that is it can be a struggle to fight lights but for lights who want a way to get past the heavys sheild use glitch grenade thermal and sonar grenades both invisible and heavy not much of a problem after that another great build is thermal vision vanishing bomb sonar grenade or switch one for the stun gun either way your running a toxic build but it's fun and doesn't matter what weapons or skills up to your playing style but I I understand why people dont like the cloaking specialization but personally I like the evasive dash and grappling hook and thermal vision in my eyes it is a must have if you're a light just to deal with the invisible players running around

    4:23 what are the new light buffs may i ask? Light got nothing recently. LH1 was reverted rightfully so, DB is pretty unpopular and remains balanced, Throwing knives are yeah kinda too forgiving but not exactly overpowered? Only effective against lights mostly. And that's really about it.
    Nothing changed, dash didn't change, cloak has already been nerfed a dozen times and vanish bomb alongside it, stun gun lets heavies use RPG, only effective against melee.
    People see a lot of lights in world tour and think that light is overpowered, not realizing world tour is not competitive and nothing but a casual gamemode where people play whatever they find fun - mostly light because it's a fun class.
    I expected this video to bring up some actually good points regarding the game's awful state be it bad marketing, no balance changes whatsoever for an already horribly balanced game, radio silence from the devs, countless bugs unfixed since s1, insane desync and hit registration issues, etc...
    Video was just complaining about Light.

But put simply this game is actually balanced quite well, people just don’t/won’t strategize and adjust to deal with certain builds. I promise you there’s no situation or build in this game that’s not beatable

      @@NuKeBoMbErGuY I downloaded it again few days ago to see how much it changed in the last 6 or so months since I uninstalled it, and some people run the most weird and annoying builds... They also hard target you so hard, like they just run half the map after you like bloodhounds. Sweating for kills rather than playing with the team. Solo experience is rather bad, if you play with friends it can be fun.
