      Very hard to get in there these days. Nanga Mill may still be a spot that can't be booked in advance.

    Do you have to book the Yarragil camp spots, and how do you book them, thanks 👍

      Yes you have to book through the DPaW website. parkstaybookings.dbca.wa.gov.au/availability/?site_id=36&arrival=2021%2F09%2F25&departure=2021%2F09%2F30&gear_type=tent&num_adult=2&num_child=0&num_concession=0&num_infant=0

    Did they make a better and safer spot for loading canoes into the river at baden day use area ,

      I didn't notice any specific canoe launching facility at Baden Powell day use area but access to the water has been greatly improved with the construction of the new steps.

    Great video :) did all the Charlies flat campsites have the campfire cooking pieces? I saw a few had some, but not sure if all.

    I was so hoping to do a wildflower trip this year but van not ready. Nice that you were able see a few flowers. Thank you for this video. It has been awhile since I have been there. Didn't seem too busy. We're you there mid week?

    About 10 years ago i use camp there regularly on my adventure bike never had a problem letting me in .
    One time i had the same bike on the back of my ute to camp there , and at the gate two of the ladys were going nuts refusing me entry because they said , no dirt bikes are aloud to be ridden there. I explained to them that its a licenced motorcycle and i had every right to bring it in and had told them i had camped here atleast 8 times on the same motorcycle, in the end i had to just say if you got a problem ring the ranger or the policd and just drove into the park, of course i didn't here from the ranger. It was a crazy and funny moment with these two woman .

      As long as motorbikes are licensed, there shouldn't be a problem. DPaW's own page lists Lane Poole Reserve as suitable for "4WD & adventure motorcycling".

    Whats the online booking site like is it easy to use

    • @WesternAustraliaNowAndThen
      @WesternAustraliaNowAndThen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest I think the online booking could do with a few tweaks to make it a bit easier to use but once you find the campsite you want to stay at, it isn't too bad. The following link shows the booking page for the Yarragil campsite : parkstaybookings.dbca.wa.gov.au/availability/?site_id=36&arrival=2018%2F11%2F17&departure=2018%2F11%2F22&gear_type=all&num_adult=2&num_child=0&num_concession=0&num_infant=0

    Thanks very much for that :) I wanted to check out a certain campsite at Chuditch before we went down there, but you had the camera pointed in the other direction when you went past the site LOL. Oh well, I'll find out when we get there. Cheers, Don (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland) :)

    Is it true you now have to pay for day use

    • @WesternAustraliaNowAndThen
      @WesternAustraliaNowAndThen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it is an entry fee to the area, same as for National Parks. The 'use pays' system means that entry to most national parks in W.A. is now chargeable.
