I'm a survivor of domestic abuse. Mentally, physically, emotionally, and sexually abused starting as a child and by my then husband. P.t.s.d., anxiety, insomnia, depression. I went to a domestic abuse shelter and learned coping skills and consuling. He wanted me dead. My war was with the people who were supposed to love me. Am I ashamed? Was it my fault ? Answer is no. I have my own place Wich is violence free. My daughter is a veteran. Self preservation,be humble, I am blessed and thankful.
You need to get him admitted to VA. Then tell them what is going on. My mom took me and had me admitted. He needs to learn trigger points and to avoid them. Wish could help but sometimes we have to loose everything before we admit there is a problem.

Thank you to all the Veterans out there for everything you do. I’m going to Boot Camp soon for the Marine Corp and want to become a Veteran one day too. I hope that whatever hardship you’re going through just know that it’s only temporary, you can overcome it as long as you put it within your mind and believe it and don’t fall in to the doubt because it’ll only make your belief fade away. Put the belief in yourself and know... not think, but KNOW that you’ll get through it, I can assure you that this’ll be such a help for you in the future
Look bro...there’s nothing and I mean nothing more noble than the feeling of wanting to serve your country. I know why I joined and where my values stood and what I would sacrifice to protect my way of life. After serving, I was able to reassess my beliefs and compare to what I was doing while in uniform. You’re responsible for your actions, please don’t forget that. Be in peace brother.

I just lost a brother in arms to suicide a few months ago. He served 4 combat tours between OEF & OIF. This man was a Blackhawk pilot who flew 1500 missions and saved over 900 lives, I miss you brother and I hope your in a better place now.
This song hit me really hard while I was working out in the gym when it came in my feed. I would do it all over again if given the chance. I have been that veteran contemplating my own life and somehow I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I know what it's like to be labeled that monster by those who you thought were here to help you. Keep fighting the good fight my brothers and sisters. Infantry leads the way even if it kills us.

The best veteran is the one who after his service chooses to go at life without weapons but through his intellect instead. Conquering all through his experiences and pushing forward towards his ever wish of salvation knowing that whoever ends up being around during his last times will be saved because he gave everything he could to keep them alive.

I refuse to let my 21 yr marriage get destroyed because of my ptsd it’s a long road but getting help it’s been tough but my wife hasn’t given up on me yet.

They were fake warriors, officers that wanted to act like bad asses but they wasn't shit but some bitches ! And the ones that were true warrior's get killed, and now I'm here without them and I see their faces everyday ! I hate that I wasn't there to die with them but it wasn't my time, it wasn't gods will . But I'll cya soon my brothers TILL VALHALLA !! We will feast with our savior Jesus Christ and the brothers who took a oath to give everything up to and including our lives !! You are the heroes the ones that didn't come home. I joined the Army in 2000. I served with the 82cnd Airborne in Afghanistan an Iraq. Thank you for making this, I used it to explain to my my girlfriend what we go through. So fire. I feel useless. I was trained to kill at 18, a child. By 22 I had one purpose...to kill. I don't know anything else. I dont know wtf I'm supposed to do now. I cant sleep, I don't sleep. I am always angry. She helps me but I needed her to understand. The part that resonates with me most is where you say that you told everyone but no one heard you. Bro, I get that, I get that. In the FOB all i wanted to do was go home, but now all i wish is i was back there. I wish we could go back, kill or be killed. Family through fear and blood. I want to go home, which is to say back to where we depended on each other an killed Hajjis to survive. I miss it, not cause i'm a murderer, but because that was the only time in my life I felt worth a shit.

You have a purpose and that is hard to find after service at times but keep pressing on and I will say that if you find a good Bible believing church that preaches the true word of God it will help you. Jesus loved you enough to die for you but was raised from the grave and that same Holy Spirit can be living in you if you except it and put your trust in Jesus. I am praying for you.
