i did not expect tangled the series to be here and now im curious to know if you’ve watched the whole show? if not i absolutely recommend it and id love to see your reaction to the rest of the songs. nothing left to lose is by far my favourite song in the show but all of variants songs are god tier
Hellfire on top as it should be, you love to see it. The entire soundtrack for that movie is phenomenal (and imo it’s actually the best of all the Disney soundtracks) and Hellfire is the absolute crown jewel.
If I could recommend one, I’d say check out Biggering from the Lorax’s soundtrack. It’s a demo song that was cut and reworked into How Bad Can I Be, but Biggering is a lot darker. It’s probably on par with Hellfire since the Onceler knows he’s doing horrible things in Biggering and doesn’t care by that point.
The Lorax has a deleted song called Biggering which I wholeheartedly believe in case of being took into consideration for this list it would rank pretty high.
Love it! Very nice job, and I don’t really disagree with anything. You obviously put a lot into this and it’s clear you loved doing it. I’d love to see more like this! 💜
You like Tangled the series?!? It’s such a great show, with INCREDIBLE music, especially for a Disney sequel series, knowing you like it makes me very happy (: ALSO, HELLFIRE IN FIRST?!? ABSOLUTELY. I LOVE YOU FOR THAT.
....I grinned too much seeing No More Mister Nice Guy 😂 I grew up on those movies. Another underrated villain song is Ruber, from The Magic Sword Quest for Camelot - the music numbers in this movie are amazing 💕
Ayo welchy, I just have to say the Mother Knows Best reprise that happens later in the movie has some absolutely KILLER vocals and I very much recommend checking it out :)
5:15 Okay, now listen to the original version of his song called "biggering" with the concept art. Sit it out until the end because that buildup is the best part!
was delighted to see the swan princess included here even as just an honorary mention!!! that said, i would recommend "you gotta love it" from one of the swan princess sequels-- i surprisingly like it way more than "no more mister nice guy" even if the sequel movies were lower quality overall 😭
I gotta admit, when I got to #2, I thought "why the hell isn't this #1!?" But then I got to #1 and my man, you are absolutely right. TASTE 😩 And thank you for The Mob Song! That's actually my second favourite song from Beauty and the Beast, right after the title song
This video feels like an abridged version of another set of videos that came out this year. They went with Cassandra's song Crossing the Line for their list
Have you ever heard "The World's Greatest Criminal Mind" with Vincent Price or "Toxic Love" with Tim Curry? I also recommend checking out deleted songs "Biggering" and "Snuff Out The Sun." Jafar has some more deleted songs if you want to watch Aladdin be tortured some more, too.
I know Barbie is memed on this channel, but genuinely How Can I Refuse from The Princess And The Pauper would be in my top ten. Another big personal fave is Love Is For Peasants from The Island Princess, though idk if it’s quite up there with the Disneys lol.
I'm happy to finally see a ranking list that includes both songs from movies and TV series. I'm even happier knowing that TtS was included since the music in that show definitely needs more recognition. I think if I were to make a villain song recommendation it would probably be The Nowhere King from Centaurworld. Even if I prefer the version sung by the flowers. hahaha
Justice for Nuka and Bartok.. *haha* Nevertheless, your ranking is really great and entertaining and showed me some songs and characters I had never heard of. "Gaston" isn't my favorite by any means, but it is interesting how that and "Mob Song" show two different sides of the villain (what he wants others and himself to think he is like vs. what he really is like). I love that you included "RAIEB", "Shiny" and "NMMNG", they are very underrated. Your top 10 is especially amazing. I think number 8 is my favorite on this list. I think Ursula and him would make a great duo. Gothel and Frollo would get perfectly along too. (I'd like to hear what you think of Pocahontas, by the way.) Thank you, I hope you will do more rankings in the future.
The editing is just immaculate 👏🏻💯😍 I laughed a lot more than usual and it made my day 😂 Also, as for the ranking. There are some I disagree but I heavily agree with those you have high up and gave good reasons/critiques. 👍
editing was 🔥🔥💰💰💯💯 from the very start. super well done! also, i'm so glad an mlp song made this list. what an unexpected joy. also, i am not at all surprised that hellfire was first.
Even if you aren't interested in the show, I think you should check out more My Little Pony songs! (Would probably make an interesting video as well *wink, wink*) There are a LOT of great songs in the show! "This Day Aria" is the most well known song, for good reasons, but personaly I think "Lunas Future" is even better!
'Poor Unfortunate Souls' is my personal favorite among villain songs, but u were correct to put 'Hell Fire' at #1 (it's just the most epic and well made). I never really saw the 'I Need a Hero' song from Sherk 2 as a villain song exactly. But I saw the irony that she was singing about a hero, while Sherk was fighting to get into the ball and save the day (he's the real hero), but still, I love the scene to pieces. 'Other Friends' from Steven Universe the movie is another favorite, said by someone who watched the entire show religiously. The show and the rest of the movie is full of other amazing songs. THANK U for including Varian and 'Ready As I'll Ever Be'! I would have put that song at least in the top 10 (#11 is still close), but I liked your note that u would have put it at #3 if it had been just him singing it and no one else. I certainly wouldn't have minded if they had made that a solo for him. But I think the addition of 'the good guys' singing with the 'villain' helps make it interesting. There is conflict between the characters, so there is conflict in the song itself. Just like 'The 10 Plagues' from the Prince of Egypt (another personal favorite). I loved Tangled, but Jeremy Joran playing Varian was the whole reason I gave watching the tv show a shot. I love him SOOOOOOO much! 😍💝😍
Fun fact: I was so traumatized by Hellfire that I had a nightmare in which the red choir came out of the walls of my bedroom and ate me. I was four and I still remember it too fucking vividly (Also had a terrible nightmare with The March Of The Elephants in the same vein, lol)
I would definitely hope you listen to some more of the MLP (both Friendship is Magic and Equestria Girls) songs, including: - Battle (of the Bands) - ACADECA - Unleash the Magic - Bats - Babs Seed - Winter Wrap Up - A True, True Friend - Glass of Water - Luna's Future - Under Our Spell - Tricks Up My Sleeve - In Our Town - The Pony I Want To Be - Friendship Games - Say Goodbye To The Holiday - A Changeling Can Change - We Will Stand For Ever Free - Legend of Everfree - You're in My Head Like a Catchy Song This Day Aria is a pretty solid music song, though I don't tend to listen to it as much as some of the other MLP songs, but yeah. MLP songs are pretty solid all round, with a few weaker ones here and there, but mostly good all things considered. I'm glad it made the list. I also think "Playing with the Big Boys" is second (in that movie) only to the plagues song. Deliver Us is eh to me. I'm glad that Lullaby made it so high on this list. I adore it and I think it's kind of underappreciated -- as is Lion King 2, imo... for a Disney Sequel, it more or less delivers (arguably more so than Frozen 2, not sure if that's an unpopular opinion or not...). Ready As I'll Ever Be is amazing. I also adore Nothing Left To Lose - not sure if it counts as a villain song, but anyway. You really don't have to watch Pocahontas - it is sinfully inaccurate to the point of offensiveness especially when you consider the real Pocahontas was not only not called, but the nickname (given to her by John Smith, I believe) was kind of disrespectful in its nature and also, she was a kid when she met him and he was like a grown as man and they just aged her up and gave her a historically inaccurate outfit because they wanted to make her "more attractive/hot", which was apparently something one of the people working on it just blatantly admitted to... and it... just... * *shudder* * - however, I loved both Savages and Colours of the Wind and would highly recommend that if you have yet to listen to Colours of the Wind you watch it because if you ignore the historical inaccuracies and dubiousness of it, the song itself is iconic and was very formative for me because along with other things in my life it made me have more of an appreciation for wildlife. There is also something deeply satisfying about a gal telling a guy he doesn't know sh--e... not sure what it, I just... yeah. Loved "No More Mr Nice Guy"... and in general "The Swan Princess". Also, "This Is My Idea" is also a fun song, albeit not a villain one.
Good video. By the way, have you heard the song "Biggering"? If not, it's the most popular deleted song from the Lorax 2012, and is basically the better version of "How bad can I be".
Surprised to see This Day Aria made the list, but no complaints here! Each of these villain songs are great and Hellfire is deservedly number one ❤ Aside from Hellfire, Friends On The Other Side and Mother Knows Best are probably my most listened to songs of this bunch tho xD (Also literally watched a Disney ranking from schaffrillas ytd so this was fun to see haha)
Absolutely agree with #1, for me be prepared should be #2 it slaps in every language I heard it in so far. The German one, "seid bereit", shivers every time.
I don't know some of the non-Disney ones but all of the Disney movie songs plus Prince of Egypt and Anastasia are also on my villain playlist. Be Prepared from the live action film is as bloody awful as the original sung by iconic edge lord Jeremy Irons is amazing. And yassss Heaven's Light/Hellfire is truly amazing and doesn't get enough praise. Good on ye, mate! 👏😉
The grinch is in home alone one as well when he’s asleep after eating ice cream, marshmallows and chocolate sauce. And in the song the prince of Egypt they were singing about the gods of Egypt.
Love all of your videos and this is no exception! 🎵 Im not surprised about hellfire, when you reacted to the movie i knew you loved it. Shrek 2 waiting on a hero is GORGEOUS, I love it. I love that you went to tangeled the animated series ✨️✨️✨️ And the mob song is so cool! Mother knows best is amazing, I knew that you would have it high up there No more mrs nice guy was also an amazing one
My favorite villain song isn’t even on your list and it’s technically a song that was cut from the Lorax. The movie was going to be a lot darker the song is called Biggering. And it’s a this Pink Floyd rock opera that explores the human condition, replaced by a tiktok song. If you haven’t checked out Biggering it’s really good. And it makes me mad because we were robbed of a good song.
I'm so disappointed that the live action Lion King shortened Be Prepared and generally made it sh*t. That song is a classic Disney banger and the remake dumped all over it
You could give an honorable mention to 'Headless Horseman' by Brom Bones (AKA Bing Crosby) from 'Ichabod Crane.' Always been one of my favorites: cleverly-worded and perfectly-voiced.
Maybe consider dooing reactions to music from shows and fandoms ? Whats the use of feeling blue
I'll give you $20 to talk about the I Need a Hero scene for an hour or more. I could listen to people praise Shrek 2 forever. Just pure bliss to know people love it.
For my money, the line from Shiny: “you try to be tough, but your armor’s just not hard enough” honestly gives me goosebumps.
Or when he joyfully sings: “You will die die die.” So casuslly
Hellfire at #1 as it should tbh. Poor Unfortunate Souls and Be Prepared are among my favorites too. Love your choices!
i did not expect tangled the series to be here and now im curious to know if you’ve watched the whole show? if not i absolutely recommend it and id love to see your reaction to the rest of the songs. nothing left to lose is by far my favourite song in the show but all of variants songs are god tier
Agreed ❤
Hellfire on top as it should be, you love to see it. The entire soundtrack for that movie is phenomenal (and imo it’s actually the best of all the Disney soundtracks) and Hellfire is the absolute crown jewel.
The thought of Welchy watching Steven Universe thanks to our queen Spinel fills my heart with joy
Im so glad you put In the Dark of the Night and Savages on the list, they are highly underrated and are amazing villain songs
YES YES YES YES YES I AGREE 110%!! It’s so much better in every way.
I NEED WELCHY TO SEE THIS PSL
WELCHY I STILL NEED YOU TO SEE THIS
Slimsy im not quiet sure a song about wanting to touch a underaged girl is on the same level as some dude making a business
One can see how much work you put into this and how much fun you had creating this video. I'd love to see more content like this!
The Lorax has a deleted song called Biggering which I wholeheartedly believe in case of being took into consideration for this list it would rank pretty high.
Music can 100% make or break a movie.
Hearing you go on abt Jeremy Jordan and his performance as Varian has made my day
i love torture

absolutely fantastic video, it was so much fun. Will be listening to every song on this list on repeat for the next week
4:56 I really wish we got Welchy's opinion on *Biggering* instead
This video was worth the wait 🤩 I particularly love the editing style and the detail is 🤌 I would love to see more of these types of videos ❤️
Love seeing Ready As I'll Ever Be getting some love.
Okay, so I'd totally add Preminger's song here 😌
Who that??
@@Welchyhe’s from Barbie Princess and the Pauper, you should do a reaction vid, you’ll love it 😂
you are so right! I believe in my soul that 'How Can I Refuse' is the one and only song that could rival Hellfire

Oh I didn't know you watched the swan princess. I love that movie!! It's cool you mentioned it
Great documentary Welchy 😄
Steven Univeres is a "MUST WATCH" in my opinion.
I didn't know it's Ralph Fiennes who sings 10 plagues and man if the evil whiseed life is getting bored Voldemort should really become a singer 😂❤
Fantastic list but also really nice how much thought you put behind it! Love to see more video's like this!

- Unleash the Magic
- Bats
- Babs Seed
- Winter Wrap Up
- A True, True Friend

- The Pony I Want To Be
- Friendship Games

i saw varian in the thumbnail and clicked. i don’t regret it at all.

He doesn’t know of the songs existance
Good video. By the way, have you heard the song "Biggering"? If not, it's the most popular deleted song from the Lorax 2012, and is basically the better version of "How bad can I be".
Other good villain songs: Open Up Your Eyes & Danger, Danger from MLP, and I'm The Bad Guy from Wander Over Yonder
Ralph Fiennes is a great Rameses and all but if you think the English version of The plagues is powerful you should defo check out the German one 😁
I stopped watching Steven Universe long before that villain showed up but that song is pretty hard.
