The Kesar Saga Part 1

A documentary film by Iffat Fatima, The Kesar Saga explores the storytelling tradition in the Himalayan region of Ladakh through the narration of the Kesar Saga. The Saga is an ancient Tibetan epic orally narrated during the winter months in the entire Tibetan belt.
The film made in 2002, has been widely screened at several film festivals and venues all over the world.

In the comment section , am seeing people claiming that Kaiser was born in Rong-yul ( Rondu ) or Kargil . This is an epic , he wasn't a real character . It's possible that this epic might have been inspired by a real character that had lived in the past .
Any how , if we sum up all the versions of this epic . according to oral traditions Lha-fro Kaiser ( Gesar the great ) ruled over ling , that might have been a place in Kham ( modern day part of Tibet)
