That’s my pleasure. There will be 3 more ducks at least in the near future - but whether people are after NZ native duck patterns is a different story 😂🦆🦆🦆

Thank you for this cute pattern, I used to have my own pet Mallard 🦆 called Charlie when I was little, he used to chase me around and nip my bum 😅 Again thank you for the video, Watching is sometimes easier than reading and I appreciate it. I wanted to knit your sugar mice, but I don’t think I’m quite ready to try those yet because I’m barely an advanced beginner. 💕

Oh wow- that is adorable. I have wild ducks here on our pond (well, one breeding pair of paradise ducks). My uncle used to have pet ducks who were so cute running about in their yard 🦆. Totally! The mallard is way easier than the sugar mice - but should sit down and rework the sugar mouse to be seamed rather than on 4 needles - that would make it much easier to knit. I’d love to see your mallard when you are done. 👍

@@Theknitguru Ducks are so entertaining and such fun pets to have around. I have 2 cats, don’t ask how because I am more a dog person than a cat person, but I live in a small property (UK) and it wouldn’t be fair to keep a dog here. When I move home, hopefully soon I plan to get some more pets - I’d have a duck but I think my cats will bit his bum. lol Sure, I have a few Easter knits that I am making and then I’ll give the Mallard a try, I’ve saved it to Ravelry too! If you do re-work the sugar mouse I’d defo give him a go, I can just about use 2 dpns please don’t confuse me with lots of needles - I’m a left-hander knitting right-handed. 🤣Thanks for your reply, I enjoy your videos. 💕

I’m so glad you like the videos. I love the UK - I haven’t been over since 2019 though. I’ll keep an eye out for your mallard on ravelry when you make it. And I’ll get to work making the sugar mouse a flat pattern. Let me know if you need a hand with the mallard. Left handed knitting 🫣 that seems hard.

Hello, I have joined your group today. Your duck is fabulous and something I want to make. I intended to make some as an "act of kindness" and leave them beside our lake which has ducks. I don't know what will happen yet! I knit to help my brain following a Traumatic Brain Injury. Its my own rehab choice but helps im sure.I tend to not have things to knit for a useful purpose but my idea will help. Whilst I'm messaging, do you have a small frog pattern? It has to be an easy pattern and im very willing to pay. Look forward to hearing from you x
