Still one of the best stories in sports. Just love these guys, never been to Wales but always thought it a magical place. My Father loved it. Wrexham has great fans and great history. Great win, what fun they must be having in town. Merry Christmas all.
The media up their *** really doesn't help their cause. But having been there on our away trip, the crowd are brilliant. Friendly, give banter to and from with us and are way more alive than a lot of these clubs in the football league. For now anyway (might stall one day), they're on the rise. Showing a lot of football club owners how it's done!
Rich owners taking over a club and getting them promoted after signing players nobody else in the league could even dream of signing isn't "one of the best stories in sports", it happens literally all the time in English football. They aren't even underdogs in League 2 considering the squad they had going into it. Unless the story is "team out of the football league for years finally gets promoted", in which case that story happens all the time all over the pyramid.
@@quayevano I wish I'd played it, but focused more on hockey and rugby. My sons played footie and rugby, being a part of a few championship teams. Even from the cold and rainy sidelines, it was always a great game to watch. I'm a west coaster, though born in Ontario.
Very impressive all round. Although a few miscues in the first half, the defensive responsibility really helped overcome a less talented team that were, at times, very determined. Then, seeing their efforts having not bore any results, Newport had little to fend off a very determined Dragons squad. Thanks for the early Christmas present lads! Enjoy your well earned break!
Shows the inconsistency of refs in this division, Barrow get a laughable one against crewe , yet mullin nothing when looked like a decent shout after 3 mins 57 secs. Hard fought win, and another important 3 points at home.
I know we’re winning but I think our conversion rate needs to improve, just to ensure the win, but goal difference could be crucial factor at the end of the season
Only three teams have a high GD right now. Beginning of the season to the end of September their GD was 0, October on they are +16 (with today). They're mostly in form now, but August and September were rough. Shows how important Mullin is for chance creation.
@3:41 that's such a blatant foul in the box! Defender had Mullin wrapped with his arms and then literally pulled SPM down to the ground like a highschool wrestler! Exactly WTH was the ref watching that he missed all that tomfoolery?? 🤔
Because there's no decent road networks linking north and south wales. You either have to cross the border and drive down the extremely busy M6/M5/M4 motorways, or go over the mountains

Elliot Lee Player of the Season 👑
Yea you can tell hes on one this season by the fact he won that header, hahaha
Come Jan window we need either another SPM level striker, or TWO more Elliot Lees! Or better yet, one of each.
Those throw ins by Tozer are like getting a corner kick. Too awesome! I'm buzzin!

They found the cheat codes to the game. 🤣

What on earth could the ref have been looking at to miss that. That defender has a bright future in the WWE with that kind of takedown.

Wrexham pulls out the win, despite some terrible reffing. As a Canadian raised on hockey, even I could see that.
Same. Canadian here but know and play football. That was bad reffing definitely.
