    I think Zentouch refers to the fact that you can swipe up and down on the finger print sensor to open the notificaton menu etc.

    Very critical but informative video. Totally agree about the headphone jack location, but at least it *has* one in the first place!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, the B-rolls and sound quality are top notch. Great editing! All the best.

    The microphone and sealing is offset from the hole so nothing really happens if you stick the ejector in there but usually nobody changes simcards very often

    • @2MinuteReviews
      @2MinuteReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's true. I did shove the tool in there when I installed the SIM card.

    swipe moves can be changed to buttons on the bottom. i never used swipe and ill probably never will. i had sony xperia before and always put my phone straight in my pocket so for me the headphone jack on top was ideal. just a matter of getting used too i guess. for me it even better cause probably less dirt will fall into your usb port.

    Hi, how did you get the brightness slider to apear in the notification panel (With only one swipe) ?

    • @2MinuteReviews

      I'm not sure. I assumed it was always there. Don't remember changing any settings for that.

    From the review of the buttons and android gestures, i would really like to recommend you buying an iPhone. You can adjust the sensitivity of the back gesture so it will only register when you swipe from the end of the screen.

      A lot of people love iPhones. I don't.

    Zentouch, I assume, means that the power button operates as a method to operate other functions. That would explain the two arrow buttons- you only mention one. Swipe up or down for whatever feature you've attributed to the button.

    • @2MinuteReviews
      @2MinuteReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you're right! I use swipe down to bring down the notifications menu. Still not sure if I love it.

    So, is the ZenFone 9 now have Android 14? Security updates all up to date to at least October 2023? Any other improvements updates to the the cameras, performance and battery life?
    Speakers any good? Need your comments my brother.

    Really great channel. I hope Zenfone 10 will also have a headphone jack. Only reason I am not buying right now, is to get the most out of the phone.

    I have never used side mounted fingerprint sensor (cum power button) in past. Hence a question:
    If I touch/press the button once, does it only wake up the phone or unlocks it completely? I frequently wake up my phone without unlocking it, to see time, notifications, etc. Can I do it in Zenphone with a fingerprint cum power button?

    • @2MinuteReviews
      @2MinuteReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you press it properly, it will unlock. But you can also press it with the wrong finger, for example, to only wake it. Or double tap the screen.

      Well not really. The phone screen goes pretty much to the edge of the device.

    Excellent points. I agree fully though I don't vlog not place phone on pocket, so I like the headphone jack on top.
    I must warn U.S. ATT users they have to get a new SIM card to activate this (unless they already use a recent SIM). I was very angry migrating from a Moto phone when it would not connect to ATT network,
    I emailed ASUS and did an online review that they should not be selling this in the US! However, after time spent with ATT tech support and a trip to the ATT store for new SIM and to activate, I am set up. There are other's angry reviews of Zenfone 9 on Amazon who wrote they could not use on ATT. IF I can edit my review or post a comment to my own review to advise on the SIM issue, I will.
    The listing and promo/ online adverts by ASUS do not mention this. It must be losing sales for them! I do not know if the same SIM change is necessary for use on T -Mobile.

    • @2MinuteReviews
      @2MinuteReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yes, they should definitely highlight that limitation. I'm not in the US, so I didn't face this challenge.

    Enthusiasts beware, this "flagship" phone has a usb 2.0 type C ports (and so does zenfone 10) which is laughable honestly. That means slow transfer, and no hdmi out or other docking functionalities. If you don't care about that though, It's a really good phone otherwise.

    On some phones power and volume buttons are very close - worst engineering ever.
    Power button with fingerprint scanner - stupid idea. That's one of the reasons I get rid of Poco F3.
    Camera punch in the corner is better than in the middle. To use back button located on the top corner on some apps - get crapplephone.
    I always have on-screen buttons.

    From what I've seen elsewhere, it is possible to disable the gesture navigation system and go back to the more traditional 3 button layout at the bottom of the screen : see th-cam.com/video/QZ0C3rpEXZw/w-d-xo.html
    The headphone jack placement was the one that was most common some time before they started to disappear. I remember my old s4 had its headphone jack at the top.

    The placements of the headphone jack and front camera are way off. Also, the plastic back in the flagship model? On top of the fact that there is no wireless charging? Come on, it came out in 2022.

    Just to add on the SOFTWARE part. Zenfone has a pretty bad rep when it comes to releasing updates. They will release updates after years of not releasing anything and the released version will still be buggy, I got to a point where my previous Zenfone did not have Wi-Fi and I had to change manually to an older update. Which is f*cked up and after that I am quite hesitant on getting anything Zenfone.
