There's such a mix of eastern Asian instruments, chants, and oddly Australian instruments, it's so interesting that they all go together so well despite being from completely different continents and eras!
Sorry I had to be the guy to inform you but these sounds are made with Virtual Audio Workstations, where the instrument is not being physically played, but are preset sounds of a certain instrument that can be used to compose music.
Fun fact: magical sanctum has many monsters that use traditional Chinese and Japanese instruments as there sounds, such as Taiko drums, koto, and Guzheng!
When I was younger I always wanted to learn the Sam Clark, and me and my brother found a Sam Clark in a shop and we bought it and I could finally make a frondley impression with this rare instrument.
I'm not sure Fluoress is a real music box, I think she's a synthesized music box with a special synthesized "echo" which fades into the choir-like sound (notice how the music box isn't independent from the choir sounds)
I forgot what the light island monster is but I thought the instrument part was a kalimba. It definitely looks more like one than a music box, but I can hear why one might think either
My favourite thing about My Singing Monsters is the fact that the Monster Handlers decided to include an ancient traditional instrument from the First Nations Peoples, the Indigenous Australians.
