Recreating My Wedding Makeup!

- A part of me always gets a little jealous when I look at all the beautiful brides on Instagram. With their custom made outfits, beautiful jewelry and flawless makeup!! When I got married at 18 I didn’t have much of a choice on anything. Our budget was small and there weren’t many options for makeup artists. So I went to a salon and had a lady who didn’t listen to a word I said on how I wanted my makeup. (correction: the only thing she listened to was to PLEASE keep my skin color the same. Can you believe I had to beg her not to make me lighter!? 🙄) My wedding ended up being so much fun and I quickly realized a perfect wedding doesn’t make a marriage. But still I can’t help but feel a little sad when I see brides now. Soo I decided to recreate my wedding makeup the way I would’ve wanted it. 10 years later and some major improvements in my makeup skills and I created the perfect look! Seriously didn’t want to take this off, but I did get some awesome pictures to share!!

You look really cute as a bride in your old photo, the look actually works really well and love the brow bone highlight (that might be the shimmer shade you were mentioning). My sister got married in 2007 as well and she has not aged either just like you, even after 3 kids, mashallah! I look 20 years older than her, with no kids! :( must have been very fun for your family and husband for you to dress up as a bride again!

I am soooo happy to have found a TH-camr with the same yellow undertone as me and a similar skin colour (I think I'm slightly darker). Omg I totally get what u said about begging the lady at the salon not to make u lighter. He would tell them about a new toy and say to them “you see my new toy?” And they would explain to him no they cannot, as they cannot see through the phone. My son would tell them “but I am showing you right now”.
