Just practice your chord changes these are very basic chords im also just starting but ive been playing for 2 months and you start getting better with time
That was me when I was starting out but trust me after a couple of months it’ll feel really natural shifting the chords and you’ll soon forget you even had a problem with it

I would suggest A, E and D for a start. Keep praciticing them until you get good at switching between them. You cand find plenty of songs that has these chords only to play so you don't get bored. Afterwards work towards leartning other chords that would help to play your favorite songs. Keep practicing everyday and I promise you it'll get easier each day!

Honestly I been struggling with strumming for a while. I started with finger picking since I was the most familiar with that because it reminded me of when I played piano, but strumming was something I postponed for the longest time ( essentially a year ) and you made the best and most understandable version of this song, so thank you for that! Quickly becoming one of my favorite guitar teachers

@One Music School Great and helpful video. However, there is a minor(potentially slightly confusing) typo at 3:05. You say you need to play a C chord after the G7 chord but the chart shows the chords switched around so instead of the C chord the Dm chord is indicated after the G7.

In summary I must listen to the songs and educate my ear And the must better would probably be to attend your classes regulary. Secondly I am 69 years old so I have to learn very guickly Too bad you do not teach the harp, Because I think I get closer to God quickly. But you didn't show the lyrics together with the strumming patterns and the chords. Also, since you took the time to do France proud with your cover version of "La Vie En Rose" I'd be happy to teach you how to pronounce each and every word so you can really sound like a beautiful French woman.

I think at 7:59 its supposed to be a different chord, 2 chords to be exact to end that line, just like the part dmin to g7 in the previous verse

Katie, do you have to have the capo on 5? I have a travel guitar and its just to small to use the 5th capo, it sounds tinny.
You can certainly play it without the capo :). It would change the key, but you could adapt pretty quickly vocally once you have the chords down.
