I appreciate your lake analysis. I fish on Lake Murray in South Carolina and would love to see you analyse it. It's such a huge lake and can be a little over whelming trying to figure out where to fish.
Thanks brother!! Fish from Longwood ramp now till the end of May. Bank points shallow from a mile above and below the ramp. 👍👍🙏. Let me know how you do
@@davidmcgilvray4910 thanks David! We did very well at an NSBA tournament in early 2000’s and fished Gills Creek. Dewayne Lamb at Captain’s Quarters is a good friend of mine from the NSBA days. Stop in and say hi to him and his dad. They will give you great info👍👍
Fished Lanier many times! Great Lake!! The area in this clip was very shallow with tree piles laying 20-30 feet from the bank that we had to go around so it was thought to get close to the banks
Another good vid Mike....I'm almost done with getting my boat rigged out for stripers and can't wait to get out there. Thanks for the info...it helps a lot. It's been 15 years since I striper fished and I'm in central NC, thought about going to Badin and Lake Hickory (where I used to go for stripers) to get re-acclimated to the process and reading my electronics etc...... Smith and Kerr is a pretty good drive for a day trip, any other lakes in central NC you recommend besides Badin and Hickory that I could day trip?
Thanks brother. Jordan is a very interesting lake. It’s so different than any other lake with Stripers. It’s had its ups and downs over the years, they have a great little club that you might want to join. Several buddies of mine are in it and they do a nice job working with new members. If you decide to ever try it I can put you in touch with them. 👍
@@MikeSmedleyOLDSCHOOLSTRIPERS I am in North East Texas by Texarkana and by Lake Forks outside of Dallas do you ever come this way and doing a guiding I would like to meet you.
Would you do Clark’s Hill Lake in this series. I’m new to the sport of stripper fishing and would love your insight and help in finding fish. Thanks in advance.
This is off topic but anyways, I’m a blue cat fishermen but love your videos man, what do you do for a living if you don’t mind me asking. Full time guide?
Thanks brother!! This is what I do for a living. How-to videos along with product testing for several marine companies. I don’t do any charters anymore because I’m on so many different bodies of water.
I got one from Dewayne the other day its got from s curves up on one side then Gills black water bull run craddock creek and the lower end on other side. Good map. Like 11 bucks.
Glad you like them brother! Did you see this from SML? Our hoody’s and Jerseys are in the description, they are incredible quality. Thanks for the support! 👍🙏🙏🙏
Sorry, I don’t run charters anymore because I travel so much. I’m on a different body of water all the time. A great Charter Captain needs to master and stay on 1 or 2 bodies to deliver the trip of a lifetime every time.
Great stuff Mike, I would love for your buddy to who enjoys Redfin fishing during the summer to contact me, I make lures and need someone to test a lure I’m working on for striper. If you think he’d be interested have him contact me, Lure up on messanger and TH-cam
Thanks for teaching an old dog new tricks! Love all your videos 🥰
Thanks for your support brother!!

Hey Chris, where do you normally put in. I’m in the cool branch area most of the year, maybe see ya out there.
I love it! The lake fishing is what I do. I noticed you are not fishing close to the banks. Would love ya have ya at lake Lanier!
Fished Lanier many times! Great Lake!! The area in this clip was very shallow with tree piles laying 20-30 feet from the bank that we had to go around so it was thought to get close to the banks
Not very wide though that area on Roanoke side til you get closer to halesford bridge
Your videos have taught me a lot. Thanks much sir!
Glad you like it brother! Thanks!
Mike could you do Cherokee lake in eastern Tennessee? It’s a 150 max depth reservoir. Thanks!
Love these videos! Clark's hill, Murray, or hartwell in sc would be awesome
Thanks brother!! You might be surprised at how similar the Stripers behave from lake to lake.

Where can I get one of the big charts that you have in the SML Chart Series?
I got that one at Captains Quarters a long time ago. Dewayne has them there. Amazon might have them too.
This is off topic but anyways, I’m a blue cat fishermen but love your videos man, what do you do for a living if you don’t mind me asking. Full time guide?

Thanks! SML is my home water.
Where did you get that chart?
That’s an old chart I got from Dewayne’s at Captains Quarters in the early 2000’s. I like it for this video because the entire lake is on one side.
I got one from Dewayne the other day its got from s curves up on one side then Gills black water bull run craddock creek and the lower end on other side. Good map. Like 11 bucks.
Have you ever done Texoma? I probably watched all your videos :)
Trying to start striper fishing here at SML. Thanks for the video. Would love to buy a team old school T shirt
