    22:55 Rule 2 - Memento Mori

I wish I had been exposed to stoic philosophy in school. Might have kept me from wasting a big part of my life drowning in alcohol. 830 days sober today. Better late than never! Thx for the videos!

I was sitting outside enjoying the beautiful weather &a ciggy;the thought crossed my mind that I'm a stoic person like it's a bad thing, somehow ending up here? Lol I could listen to this daily. I find it reassuring that I'm perfectly imperfect & comfortable being myself. My natural stoicism is an asset not a detriment.

My young partner me this today, i've been through alot, to much to mention, leaving it all behind is better, life is hard right now but he makes it easier each day. I've lost my dad yrs ago, losing mum slowly, dont talk to family as they are toxic and look after myself and him is all that matters, dont have time for people who waste my time anymore is my philosophy now, to much wasted time on the wrong people who took up all of my time with their negativity and inability to manage their own life and thoughts, life's for living not enduring each day.

My best advice would be try to put more emphasis and thought on those things you do have control over in life that can bring you happiness. It becomes kind of like a balancing act, yes things outside of your control will make you unhappy from time to time but don't try to think about said events as much as the good things you might have going on, always try to look a the brighter side of things.
