Lionel needs to be the boss and start his own company! I think people will love the idea and his craftsmanship can't be foound anywjere in Korea.
Exactly! His craft is unique and you can definitely see why France holds craftsmen like him with such prestige just be looking at their architecture!
Lionel is so wholesome. I understand why they may want to continue living in Korea, especially if Gyuyeon gets pregnant, but perhaps they can move to Paris again for a few years to save money since his profession is better paid there?
Better pay also means higher cost of living., it doesn't automatically mean better, just look at all the homeIess African and Arabs in Paris that went there thinking the same as you.

Life in Paris is expensive but with his salary, having graduated from the best school in France and being one of the best workers in France, he would have lived very, very well. His technical mastery would have earned him great respect. In addition, if they decide to have a family, I think it would be better for them to return to Paris (in France, school is free, and the health care system is partly covered by the state).
But it’s very very admirable to do what he does! He does what makes him happy and that's not given to everyone, so bravo to him! As a French I find it very cool.

France isn't just Paris. To be honest most french people hate Paris and as a french person I'm among those that don't see the hype about it. It is small, crowded, dirty, full of tourist traps, expensive, hard to enjoy nature, transportation is crazy be it private or public... And you do not feel safe... There is a reason why people call it "Paris syndrome". There are so many beautiful monuments in need around France and Europe that would benefit from his great knowledge as a roof master and provide him with the right balance for family life.

It's such a pretty that we do not value craftsmen/ tradesmen as much as we do white collated workers. I really liked how he pointed out the lack of younger people in his profession and the impacts further down the road.

I admire Lionel, his love for his wife is true and pure. But I wish his wife to agree moving back to Italy and stay there for few years, so Lionel can work and have a better paying job. They need to be practical and reasonable. I pray she would follow her husband, if they became ok in Italy his in-laws can visit them. Just saying.

This man is such a rarest of the rare gem that I can't bellive exist! becuase trust me, French men are not known for their loyalty or fidelity but here this man is so devoted to his foreigner wife, so much so that he is actually stuglling becuase of her. He has to move to her coountry, adapt to her culture, learn her language and harsh work culture and much more!

What is Gyuyeon's job? Why don't they want to live in France? Especially when Lionel's expertise is recognized there? Lionel seems such a sweet guy! He does the cooking after work; hope his wife does the washing up. Since they both work, share the chores then.

as a korean, i really hope he can move back to France.. korea is a cold harsh place. it's a terrible place to raise kids.
And 20 years time I can see him starting his own roof construction business and be very successful in the uniqueness of it. I also then see that he can also start a Roofing trade school to train Koreans on how to do the beautiful Roofing that he has been taught in the craftsmanship of it. God Bless Him
