A nice early game tip: Holy Water pots are a fantastic way to deal to deal with the early Deathbirds. Throw the Faith and Holy Damage Crystal Tears in your Flask and throw some Pots for 1500-2000 damage at the poor Deathbirds.

Small tip (not sure if yall have covered this one or not yet): You can use "poison mist" on any enemy (including some bosses) that you are able to sneak up in without being detected, and it will poison them, but not trigger aggro to you. Then wait for the poison to do damage and end, and use it again to reapply the poison. You are actually able to completely kill a number of tough enemies and a few bosses without ever even gaining aggro or having them move at all. It does take a while sometimes tho
This made me so mad to find out those sentinel gaurds sucked then I thought it got patched when I read this because I was using the dragon spell instead of poison mist lol
Therolina has been my favorite since I got her, just the fact she heals herself endlessly makes her minimal damage acceptable since she draws aggro and has great survivability
Not sure if I've ever seen anyone mention, you can use carian phalanx to hunt down invisible scarabs. They can still strafe it if they are moving perpendicular to you, but if you stand in their path so that they run right toward you, the swords will autotrack and kill the scarab

@@saadelmaaqili4051 The ones that roll around and leave tracks in a set path. There’s also a completely invisible one in Altus Plateau, if you take the road from the lift of Dectus towards Leyendell, it’s near the first split in the road.
There were two particular ones that stand out from my initial play through.
1. First glimpse of Liurnia from the clifftops after completing Stormveil.
2. First glimpse of Elphael after surviving the Haligtree.
Both times I remember thinking the same thing. "F' me, but this is going to be awesome."

one note though, 5:27 if you are an invader, the PVE are already considered your "allies", no branch required. also, enemies capable of providing buffs (like cleanrot knights) can buff you too
You can use the bewitching branch on a kaiden horse rider, it will not affect him. But if you knock him off the horse and use a bewitching branch on the horse, it won't let him back on

Regarding gravitas and birds, I'm surprised that people didn't know this considering one of the merchants sells a note detailing this very interaction
Small thing: according to the Wiki revenants have 40% Holy ressistance, they're weak to healing incantations but strong against the against Holy damage incantations, a small correction according to the wiki

It would of been really cool for you to actually credit Zullie who found out about the ants.
The ash of war thing works with all incantation buffs. Like, the order one that kills Undead, you can use flame of redmanes with that thing and burn undeads keeping them from reviving.
and since flame of redmanes does incredible poise damage, its a double plus.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but if you wear the Black Knife set in Ordina, Liturgical Towen whilst doing the evergaol puzzle the Black Knife Assassins will not show up at all and I thought it was a pretty cool thing 😁
Hmmm. I'm going to try that. I loathe the Ordina puzzle, especially the light by the two archers.
@@bryanwalthall5483 omg that part drove me insane! The whole reason for me even trying on the armour was so I could sneak up to them but they would still see me. It was a happy coincidence to see that wearing the set just got rid of the Assassins 😅😅

The black knife set allows you to sneak up behind the black knife and kill them. I wear the set with sentry torch. They did show up, but cannot see me coming behind. Without the set, their hearing is excellent and catch u.

I caught something today. I was passing under a branch of the Erdtree on the road northbound from the Altus Highway junction heading toward the finger readers when something fell from the tree in front of me. It was a skull with a golden rune inside. I suspect the Erdtree is dropping the skulls scattered about. Come to think of it, as I write- there aren't any skulls underground, are there? Maybe there is and I don't remember. Either way, the Erdtree dropped a skull in front of me today.
That's a helpful insight. Would make a bit of sense
The skulls just randomly spawn. They can even spawn in places from where they will immediately drop.
The erdtree absorbs the skeletons inside the catacombs so wouldn’t be far fetched if it spit some back out full of grace

And about Vaati: i liked his DS lore videos a bunch of years ago, the man surely can present a video properly (if he's a single person to begin with; it's a while i'm thinking his whole channel is a team effort), but he presented some curiosities and theories about the games that weren't really his, forgetting to even mention the original poster sometimes.
He also inserted much more sponsors with which he seems to be conjoined in business (like the metal sheet magnetic posters with Souls themed drawings): too much stress on money and too little passion.
I don't really like his channel much anymore 🤷

He literally gives the names of commenters and credits the sources that informed him about what he makes the videos on. It's half-assed to think anyone at this point "discovered" anything in Elden Ring for the first time, yet there's still things in his vids many have not yet seen or experienced.

So this is really small, maybe too small to be included in one of your videos, but I like to pair the Melania hand and feet armor with the black knife chest piece and I noticed in some areas that the large ivory parts of the legs turn black in some areas, mainly the snowy areas. While the gold parts on the knee and feet stay gold. I think it's a really cool look. I actually prefer it to the normal look.
a few days ago I learned the rotten duelists have a pet snake, he shows up to bite your face when they grab you

Hi there Hollow, not sure if you've already covered this in a video, but here's something I found recently:
The Sentry's Torch is an item you can get from the Hermit Merchant in Leyndell that lets you see invisible enemies. It's most useful in those places where you have invisible Black-Knife Assassins that try to sneak up on you and stab you, like when you're doing the Evergaol in Ordina Liturgical Town. That said, in Ordina before entering the Evergaol, you see the spirits of Albinauric women and their wolves. If you're holding the Sentry's Torch though, you will ALSO see the spirit of at least one Black-Knife Assassin skulking around (I found one on the path running through the middle of town walking up and down the staircase). You won't see her if you don't have the torch out, and when you put it away while looking at her, she disappears. It's a very interesting hidden bit of foreshadowing that you may not come across if you don't have the Sentry's Torch; heck, not even then if you don't think to use it in Ordina.
The Meteorite Blade matches the Royal Remains armor set, Ensha when you are fighting him uses gravity magic. It could be lore potential.
Zullie made a whole video about the ant thing. But I didn't know about the buff+Weapon art thing, that's actually very good to know.
I'm really enjoying this series. Also you do are really great job of smoothly transitioning from cool fact to another.
One thing I've heard but not been able to test is that if you progress Sellen's questline to the point you get her a new body, before doing the academy, you can summon her for the fight against the Red Wolf of Radagon.
One thing I've seen is that all the puppets in the game are visible in Seluvis's secret lab, even the ones he doesn't sell
If you haven't mentioned the claymans harpoon weapon it's got a possible 2 elements to put on the weapon somewhat like sword of night and flame it has magic inherently and can add fire lightning or holy through ash of war
Is funny how the eye color on the ants kinda matches the color of the smoke of the bewitching branch
Dunno if anyone figured this one out but you can actually damage Renalla in her flying bubble state by using the black knife ash of war you can damage but not kill her if her health goes down fully she stops taking damage and you have to destroy the little witches to drop her to the ground and kill her
i recommend trying black flame/blood flame blade on a weapon with golden land. the orbs that track the enemies will build up the status debuff. just make sure it’s heavy/keen infused so you can actually put the spell on it.

I think I have one you haven't tried yet. If you use the Celebrant's skull with Prelate's charge and boost your stamina you can get thousands of runes off one enemy
The Fingerprint Helm is the only helm I've found in the game that lets the Black Knife Armor invisibility cloak to be pulled up over it. It's pretty sweet. I discovered it a long time ago and have kept it to myself long enough. Top tier fashion.
As a bit of followup to my old post, and specifying mostly in particular to the addon made about Bloodflame Blade, there's a reason why more projectiles at once = better for this buff. That's because the Bloodflame Blade only has a ramping-up effect with it's bleed, no innate bleed. This is also true for the buff itself on the weapon, the buff only applies a scaling bleed buildup, and not a flat. Simply put, the more of these effects active at once on a target, the faster you can build up more quickly. The same is true for Ashes of War and Spells that apply bleed via Bloodflame.
Would be nice to see a chalice dungeon type system in ER
You can also use the Commanders Standard ability on bewitched enemies as well along with the heals and other group buff magics.
Not only willing healing chunk and critical them, but spells that heal per tic will also damage them in tics. Like poison.

You don't need a bewitching branch to buff AI as an invader. I often buff large groups with barrier of gold against mages and laugh at their lack of damage
I wonder if you can't use buffs to add status to St. Trina's Torch. The ability to scatter fire in front of you could gain a lot of utility if, beyond just sleep, it could deal damage and other statuses.

The buffs applying to ashes of war should probably work on all the wind spells as they do physical damage based on your weapon's damage. Making the dragoon jump and the spinny one apply status effects could be cool.
How can you apply incantations or affinities on a weapon that has already an ash of war? In my case it works with some weapons and some not, especially my utchi katana.
Can someone explain why?
I've been using bloodflame blade with the great club and golden land. it procs bleed In one shot , also works with poison and frostbite. The range is crazy

Gravity magic works to pull Melania from her water fowl dance as well.
Another random thing if you use unseen form while mounted you and your mount turn invisible. Makes traveling threw caelid so much less stressful lol

The magma wyrm sword does more damage when you use the ash of war after an incantation that puts the sword on your back like dragon communion spells. You summon magma with your bare hands
As for the gravity pull ash of war one of the nomadic merchants sell a note you can buy that tells you that. It would be cool if you could turn the trolls pulling the carafes on the soldiers
So would the bloodflame blades (like you showed with phalanx blades) work with the holy ground slam one? I forget the name but its the ashe of war that sends out a bunch of holy orbs (believe they are called "stars" in the description) that then hone in on your target. If it works with that one aswell, i imagine it would build up bleed extremely fast

You can put the Storm Assault ash of war on Heavy Thrusting Swords, and boy does it wreck hard.

They should probably just make the wind based ashes of war do this
Like if you have a weapon buff on, have the wind be of that type, but then you loss the buff and have to apply it again
Like how Godrick had that wind around him the in phase 2 it became red and delt fire damage

So I Found out that the sleeping dragon right next to Fort Faroth heath is linked with the dragons around them. As in if you kill any of the dragons that are around them they loses a chunk of heath and also the dragons around them are set to half health. Hope this is new to you lol

What happens with warming stones and revenants?
If you blood flame a weapon and then fire yourself with that flame incantation you bleed everything you touch
Also, since enemies scale based on new game cycle if you go into a high new game the AI can destroy invaders

So the creepy totally not fetish dolls in Seluvis' basement eyes follow you. You can really only see it from a few angles but they do move.
Didn't know this but it does make sense. The implication of what happens to that weirdo in carian manor is that the dolls are quite aware but just couldn't act of their own accord.
Did anyone know that you can actually cancel the Fire Giants fire ball attack with another incantation attack? I managed to capture a clip of me attacking with an incantation and when he went to shoot at me and I managed to cancel his attack with mine. Has anyone else managed to do this?
If you summon laytanna summon by a giant wolf it will ride it.
