Great achievement, and world class support by the Benna's family! The dude went to their rescue with supplies when one of the support crews bailed on them! That is priceless!
Awesome run to these two athletes. This is a wonderful story. I must also say this wouldn't of happened if not for the dedication of JB. Him running back up the trail, unplanned, at 10,000+ feet, with a bunch of supplies for these two, is amazingly clutch. Very, very inpressed, and a huge part of the run.
Man, that couple who was their support was soo good to them! Dropped their plans to do this first off, and then just did a really awesome job. Is that how this community is as a whole? I love that!!
Thank you for mentioning John Rosendahl. I knew him many years ago. He was an incredible climber, athlete, educator and person. I still have a pair of shoes he gave me, that legendary climber John Bachar gave to him. Sure wish he were still here today to enjoy the successes of the next generation.
My parents and their friends backpacked over some of those passes on a 100 mile through trip. They took photos but those are long gone. Wonderful to see those painful acres of rock, impossibly blue skies (not the pale blue version!), and incredible stars. Good movie. Great achievement.
HI Hal, we both did W.S. in 2001. My wife and I sat at the next table to you and your family in a restaurant in north Tahoe. I believe it was your first time to run it. I backpacked the JMT as a section hiker so I saw all of it. You need to go back and see the rest of it in daylight!
Such an awesome film!!! Thanks (again) to JB for sharing another film and for doing a great job of capturing more inspirational stories and telling them so well ! 👍 👍
Every film has a certain character and feel to it. This is a really good film. I'll watch it a few times. Well done all around to the remarkable athletes, and to the Bennas for production.
So impressed with the ultramarathon community. Just entering my life into the ultra community and learning a lot. I have 2 50 mile ultras this year. I started late in life. I couldn’t even imagine someday doing a 100 miler.
Great film; thanks for sharing! I already had "Unbreakable" on dvd and had seen clips of 50/50, but this is the first time I've seen this film to complete the journey film trilogy! Am I missing on others?
He did not know them, but had just volunteered online to help them. There was no cell phone service and they were 8 hours later than their projected time, so he waited as long as he thought was reasonable and then assumed that they had dropped out.
Good vid but music spoils it. Also not sure why pending fatherhood has anything to do with running or why it had to be mentioned by Wolfe as nobody interested and just sounds like emotional crap. A bit like drivers who have stickers saying baby on board - who cares a life is a life regardless of age.

I love Billy Yang and now I have found another amazing channel. Subbed.

Makes me want to go for a hike. Both men did a phenomenal job. Great video!!
That was really great to watch! Even though, I knew how it turned out, it was so exciting to be with them and go through all the motions. Nicely done!
Wilderness Bug I felt the same thing! So many chills.
"I can hike three miles an hour ... Indefinitely" 🔥

I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing. Hats off to all the folks who chase the record!
Awesome, impressed also by Francois d’Haene, the Frenchman who bet the record.
By 19 hours!
That friend came through!!!!!epic Friend.
I just cannot fathom that distance. Incredible.
This was awesome guys. So much respect for both of you. Well done 💪💪💪🤘👍
Another amazing film.

Great work, good film
Well that certainly puts into perspective Aurelien Sanchez’s 2018 Unsupported FKT of the JMT in 3d 3h 55m 10s-unbelievable!
Thanks for sharing 😊
Nice inspiration!
Niiiiice! Great film!
Better then the other long haul

18:09 - How did they get a Starbucks Coffee?
0815lloyd hahah, We brought one of those reusable Starbucks cups to use as a camp cup for coffee and soup.
Bello!
Whats the song at 21.45?
my record is thirteen days no supported lol. shooting for under ten next time.
Goddammit Nathaniel.
Now I want to see someone break the record going SOBO. :D
I don't get the point where the support guy just left, without seeing the runners?? Why do one just leave?
He did not know them, but had just volunteered online to help them. There was no cell phone service and they were 8 hours later than their projected time, so he waited as long as he thought was reasonable and then assumed that they had dropped out.
« Now we can smoke a dooby » lmfo
What the iron men. Next time, hope to be the real iron men, self-supported, do not let others carry your food.
Bring more food next time I guess
I'm most impressed with unsupported fkt
FFS, Nathaniel. You had one job.
It seems no fun if finished this trail just passing by running in 3days or so.
You see plenty while running, And after that long I bet most are ready to be done
Brah I learned that my family made this trail I’m a muir lol nobody cares probably
Music is garbage. Come on.
Who gives a shit if you’re an ultra runner. You are basically a slow jogger with stamina.
Good film man just way too much talking
To run the John Muir is idiotic. What in heaven's name were you thinking? I would want to set the record for the very longest time possible.
