Meiji Tokyo Renka is rated CERO C (suitable for age 15 and up) under Japanese classification.
Lapis x Labyrinth is rated E (Everyone 10+) by the ESRB and PEGI 7 under EU classification.
AI: The Somnium Files is rated M (for Mature) by by ESRB and also M under NZ classification.
My video is therefore NOT suitable for children as per the COPPA legislation.

I am tempted to give Somnium Files a try, even though I'm not the biggest fan of visual novels (I have to say, I did enjoy the Phoenix Wright series and Danganronpa 2). Great video, Britta.
I won't get around to playing it immediately so can't really comment further. From what I've read so far, it has some unusual investigation mechanics. I can't see it being an uninteresting game!
@@Food4Dogs I can confirm that AI is very much unlike standard visual novels, and if you enjoyed Phoenix Wright and Danganronpa 2, you should get a real kick out of this one. It's far more dynamic than reading endless blocks of text.

(also good video as always Britta. I'm catching up now that I'm back from Japan and in a mindset to start catching up on what I missed).
I would consider AI to be more of a hybrid, with some trippy investigation mechanics and the odd bit of action. It also happens to be the game I've played that's made me laugh out loud the most, for what it's worth. The creator is actually a big fan of Danganronpa, of which there are references in AI: TSFs.
I already own a copy of AI Somnium Files that I bought relatively recently for my Switch (I'm loving the game so far) but that art book!! It is so tempting I went and purchased a copy of the special edition for the PS4. The character designs in that game are so good.
AI The Somnium files is a wonderful game. My 2019 game of the year. It has a very well put together story.
Lapis x Labyrinth always picks my interest but never got to buy it for my switch , nice to hear something about it!

AI: The Somnium Files was one of my favourite games of last year (a year in which I got back into gaming after 12 years away from it, by getting a Switch), as was Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Not yet, I'm afraid. I will discuss it here as soon as I have played it. It is definitely high on my list.

Thank you for the Meiji Tokyo Renka unboxing. I loved the anime that got English subtitles and it features my favorite seiyuu. I know it's huge in Japan but I don't hear much about it in the West sadly. If you've had a chance to play it, how did you like it?

Yes, that theme .. we simply never change it on our lounge TV. And that's how I'm gonna keep it. Some things are so good, there's no need to change them.
Mine is a cozy channel and I like the thought that when people visit, they know they're gonna hear Ys VIII. 😊
