Synesthesia is a condition where a person associates a sense with another. I call this my 6th sense, as SHINee mentioned in the song. It's actually really fascinating! Everyone has some form of it. Most people have light synesthesia, where others have deep synesthesia and find everything in everything. You can test this by grabbing a few sheets of paper. With the paper, cut out shapes with sharp triangle shapes. With more paper, cut out blob looking shapes with no corners at all. Listen to the words, "Kiki" and, "Bouba". Think of the two as categories. Mix all of your shapes together. After mixed, place each shape into the category you think it fits best in. What'd you get?
