A decent amount of us do that. Not the majority, but those of us who do are the ones who play this game for fun. And we're the winners, in the end. Our builds beat the meta by a long shot. Obscure mantras that the metamancers ignore, seemingly useless talents with crazy synergies, and combinations of both of them that make something truly unique. Metamancers all go the same mantras, talents, stats, and in the end they never think for once that there could be a better combination. That's why they lose to us.

sorry but freezing wight spear specter solar is like incredibly overpowered the concept of this build is nowhere near unique but the execution with ice blade and the risin talent is unique. 😭
fought sinsla in chime yet again without knowing it was him (ice flock hurts seriously and i swear glacial mobility is unreactable)

ice blade comes out at 220ms so can't really blame you

the talent specifies that the ghosts proc chilled, so I imagine it still activates when possession procs (never really payed attention to it though)

glacial follow-up or whatever the talent is called (I'd recommend the "freeze on guardbreak with ice mantra" talent instead)

originally the build was planned to be a saltchemist build, but that would've been really boring to use and watch (I already have a full hotbar of mantras I don't need 3 more)
