I know why gear 3rd kills, gear 3rd has multiple hitboxes stacked on top of each other, that is also why if you stand VERY close to the luffy or very far from the luffy (tho it's a spesific distance so it's inconsistent) you'll only hear one block break sound and take one block break damage so you'll survive, but when you get hit by multiple hitboxes the amount of damage you take stacks and stacks resulting in you dying even if you block, exactly why you also hear multiple block break sounds. What I'm basically saying is gear 3rd kills ultra ego because it hits multiple times.

Amazing that no db characters have one shots (except final explosion but that’s more of a self destruction move) even tho they are the strongest characters on the roster (power scaling wise)
true, but throughout the series the only time someone ever tries to kill someone in one shot was vegeta with his final explosion which in ABA is pretty much the criteria for them making a move a one shot, which makes sense.
