I long to see the timeline where we got a full season of Kelly and Bianca in the same season. Instead the funny and poised Kelly mantle went home for not being a frock designer 🙄
Coco Peru is the reason I didn’t commit suicide as a high schooler, her youtube channel was my lifeline in senior year I sat in the empty art wing hallway everyday at lunch watching her shop at the convience store and it showed me what happiness would be like, she is an angel
Awww, bless yer heart ❤️ I'm so glad you had Coco to show you thru the darkness with her humor. Wise Women. The Elders. We so often find this nuturing is lacking for young queer folks. So few venues are available wherein long-lived experience is front and center. Everything focuses on the current this or the latest that. Drag moms are valuable like RL moms. We are all here to love and teach and watch you fly 😊
I'm thankful you found her happiness that made you happy. It's so healthy like vitamins for the soul. Happiness is healthiness❤ we all have to weather a storm but laughter and good people like cocoa are medicine❤❤❤
I absolutely love how Delta does not speak over the guests or cut them off. Whenever Delta and a guest begins speaking at the same time Delta lets them keep speaking while she stays silent. And, she does not cut a guest off mid-sentence. Those is manners! ALL guest show hosts should learn this behavior; especially, modern guest shows. Thank you, Delta! 😁
You can't forget that she was in Too Wong Foo! That dressing room scene was iconic. It was the first time that I saw that environment. For me, that's what makes her legendary and iconic! She is an actress and that's why her scenes were so good, no matter the length. She along with that movie, TOO WONG FOO, INSPIRED ME!
Agreed, loved Coco in To Wong Foo, the aforementioned Trick toilet scene and the Will & Grace Thanksgiving phone conference scene were fab, but... with Varla and Losesy... Jack Plotnick in "Girls will be Girls" did it for me, iconic! Also speaking of To Wong Foo-Thanks for everything, Julie Newmar, "We're here" seems to bring that spirit to the now, much needed!! Cheers
Ohh, if I may add (ranting 'bout their legacy), just coincidentally rewatched Straight Jacket, a campy Doris Day-like screwball comedy from '04, starring Miss Coco and Jake Plotnick mixed with Modern Family, Person of Interest and Little Shop of Horrors about a butch Joan Crawford-y agent trying to keep "Rock Hudson" from bunking Hunks in 50s Lollyhood... The pathos, the drama, like a gayer Archer, funny, and with a great cast, soundtrack and message, high(^^)-ly recommended;o) (Also, if you're into queer cinema, send some love to James Somerton. They're deserving but struggeling...)
If they let drag queens play the main characters the movie would have been iconic. Instead they had straight actors play drag queens who for some reason are in drag 24/7. The movie was Hollywood safe and it's sad that real drag queens didn't get more spotlight.
I’m so glad that Coco mentions the Act Up movements… it brought back memories of fellow gays telling you stop being political to me it was like they are saying I’m willing to sit back and be persecuted or eventually obliterated. Hit the streets like we used to do.
I remember the advent of HIV/Aids as a gay college sophomore in NYC. SILENCE = Death was ACTUP’s saying, impetus & logo. You were forced to adopt a stance then and attend Marches on Washington, etc. Even with all that it took them almost 30 years to develop PrEP for HIV and less than a year for THREE vaccines for covid… US priorities.
LOVE Coco... She's one of the first truly "professional queens" that I ever saw perform... She's so bright, dry and funny... I feel like I'm listening to my Mama and Aunt having coffee together... Love You Two.
I love when you bring these grand mother drags to your show. You say that they are perfect for the judge panel on RPDR and I agree in full, but I'm glad that, right now, you are the one presenting these beautiful artists to people like me who never had the opportunity to get to know them. I'm here living for this, Delta, ty.
It’s so easy to come into this expecting the Coco we all know and love, but I didn’t expect the powerful words of someone with so much lived experience expressing it so candidly. Thank you for all you’ve done Coco. Delta is such a fantastic host also. True NPR/Peabody quality.
Mrs. Peru is truly the first drag queen I remember 'knowing' was in drag, and I will always remember that first video of her roaming a supermarket for Panettone. Her comedy is so subtle and I still to this day have her voice in my head with Delta when I'm about to go off about something petty. Coco, you are a beacon of light for so many of us- even the younger generations!
Very Delta is a cut above every other TH-cam talk show, and having Coco peru as a guest has launched it into the stratosphere. Wow wow wow! Delta is consistently fantastic. Coco is such a legend, and Delta’s intelligence and attention to detail is befitting of coco. Bravo!
I feel Coco so much on the litter and social issues where your passions are so stirred and you become just so disgusted by humanity but you don't want to feel hateful inside so yes, I am also Bitter Bothered & Beyond. Love you Coco & Delta never change ! World needs more people like you ❤
I love Coco so much! I’m 33 and knew of Coco before Rupaul lol such an icon. Such an important human in our community. Y’all, the activism runs strong in this incredible queen. We need her on drag race challenge teachin these children.
I adore Coco Peru and her wisdom. It really is true too; once you can accept and embrace the aspects of yourself you've previously been ridiculed, bullied and shamed for growing up, it really is life changing.
I love Coco …I’m from the Bronx and of course she was from City Island. Reminds me of all the older folks I grew up with…their sense of humor…even though I’m 10 years older than Coco…BX . Memories
This interview was absolute magic for me. I know that may seem cheesy to say, but I've kind of been going through a bit of a depression lately and watching the two of you interacting truly boosted up my spirits. Thx Delta and Coco 😊
The raisin story just had me fighting for breath I was laughing so hard. Delta is absolutely superb at what she does, and Coco is the gold standard!! I'm glad these two finally got together to just shoot the breeze. Honestly could watch them for hours. 🥰
I was first introduced to coco on will and grace in my very early 20s...i love that she keeps a consistent iconic look so that she's easily recognized. Such a calming human. Love it.
My favorite episode of Very Delta, come back to it all the time. So much wisdom in this episode. When I first heard Coco say “Out of the bar and into the street” I got chills. Also Coco’s accent is everything, when she was talking about Linen’s and Things I was dying, sounded straight of a skit of Coffee Talk
Coco is such a wise and courageous woman. I used to watch her trips to Walmart on hunt for panatonee-ze, didn't know she was so intelligent. And Delta, unhinged, but lovable, and also wise.
I enjoy cocoa because you never know where you’re going. She makes shopping interesting. Also her insight advice on her experience is really helpful. It really positive and can brighten my day .
The first time I met CoCo I asked her if she only had one wig or several of the same kind. This was around the time they were filming Girls Will Be Girls and I talked myself into being an extra in the pool scene. She is such a quick wit and I really cherish the years I was hanging out with people like her.
I could listen to Coco all day. Incredibly smart, so poised, and truly empathetic. A legend in every sense of the word. Would love to see her again on the show!
One of my favorite people on earth, the absolute sweetest and nicest person. I remember my friend asked her to send a sweet message for me for my birthday in 2019 because they know how much i love her and that I’d probably never get to meet her since i live in the middle east and she went above and beyond and sent the sweetest voice message on my birthday and we even chatted for a bit she asked me about my life and how we’re doing here i just love her so much
I usually can't sit through a full podcast when it's other content, but I'll always sit through the entirety of Very Delta episodes. It's such a gift, especially for interional folk like me where this type of content doesn't exist here. Lovely episode! ❤️
Thank you Coco from City Island , the Bronx…. Thank you for you own way of activism… I probably was at that Act Up meeting. I remember seeing you on your one woman shows.
There are SO many things that I'd like to chime in on about this episode, but I think the thing that stands out for me the most is the soothing energy this had. You two are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stuffy confined barrel of warm horse fart this world can be sometimes. I agree with what was said at 51:48. Delta, thank you for what you do. 🔶🔸🔶🔸🔶
I adore Coco Peru!! She used to do these TH-cam videos where she would go to Walgreens, Target etc. and shop. They were so enjoyable. I discovered them and her during the height quarantine in 2020. And yes, she hates litter.
❤I Enjoy Coco Puru so very much !! I'm a bit older than Her, but I relate to things She talks about ! Have more of Our Senior Sisters on the program , Please !!
I love you coco u are beautiful soul !! Ur not old !! Ur just wise and that dont make you old u are stunning and always youthful to my eyes and ur wise words u said in movie and I keep my head always ...IT BURNS!!
My first ever drag show was at a big theater in L.A. I was 18 and i went with my bestfriend and her bf . The line up was so good. Delta , Miss Coco Peru, Raja ,Detox .... We had such a good time and we couldnt stop laughing at Miss Coco Perus set! LEGENDS !!!
Please keep up the great work Delta! Also, GURL TALK SHOW DEFINITELY I WATCH YOUR SHOW ON TH-cam ALWAYS! SAY IT PROUD 🎉! Love all your guests and the books you have decorated!
Legendary fits perfectly! I remember watching trick when I was like 18 or 19 and miss coco came on and I was like, yes! This person is amazing! I felt empowered and ready to take on the world. She gave me my voice!
Coco Peru, such an icon, such a legend! Funny enough, the first time I ever saw Coco was in a brief cameo she did in an episode of Will and Grace, it was a Thanksgiving episode and I want to say this was 2000 or 2001. From there, I saw her in other works.
“I’m down with cake, you see what I’m saying?” I can’t decide if it’s the crime of the world that on average only 30k people watch this or if we are just so elite? Truly the best podcast out there. World peace will be achieved through Very Delta.
Honey please get Kelly mantle on the show. That would be iconic.

Yes. This needs to happen. Let's manifest this...
Yes tension tamer

Yes yes yes❤
A weekly show in which Delta and Coco go shopping and review products and shopping space/experience.
Please make it happen.
This!!!
Yea, we need this!
Its never going to happen. For some reason coco decided not to do videos anymore. She hasnt done any in years.
NOW THIS IS BRILLIANT
Coco needs her own show. I can hear her talk about anything. Her voice is so soothing. I miss her TH-cam videos!!
The transition from dressing room etiquette to cake was flawless.
OMG the moment we've been waiting for! Hope they go shopping together after the interview.

I LOVE COCO PERU. whenever I feel down I rewatch her playthrough of GTA. iconic

Coco earned a new fan today, and probably plenty of them! Love her accent, her history, her knowledge ❤
Watch the movie "Trick" for her very iconic scene ;)
@@sftrickeverytime i see her i think of the bathroom scene 😂

Coco is an absolute treasure. Take heed, young queens, and learn from the best ❤
This interview was absolute magic for me. I know that may seem cheesy to say, but I've kind of been going through a bit of a depression lately and watching the two of you interacting truly boosted up my spirits. Thx Delta and Coco 😊
This does not bother me.
If you know, you know. And you know!
And this lady is not distracting me.
Delta’s hair looks gorge! These 2 together is gonna be amazing !
Coco is a gift to our community! We are so lucky to have such a guiding force!

Fantastic episode. I could listen to Coco talk for hours
Coco Peru: Legend. PERIOD.
And this is why Coco Peru is legendary, and I absolutely adore her!!!
“Noise pollution” and minding my space for others was something I learnt in Japan. I was mind blown but it was an amazing skill to learn!
Steaping a cup of Tension Tamer tea as we speak! Coco definitely got me into it
I feel like each episode just keeps getting better and better. Coco got me through quarantine with their TH-cam videos. Great job Delta! 👏
this is the best interview yet ... I learned so much. Thank you, Delta, for inviting Coco
Coco is one of my favorites. I clocked her once out of drag by just her voice. She’s been one my favorites and an inspiration
As a native NYker her accent is iconic.
I was first introduced to coco on will and grace in my very early 20s...i love that she keeps a consistent iconic look so that she's easily recognized. Such a calming human. Love it.
I love Coco Peru and I love that she calls out the legends that she remembers. We queens of a certain age love and remember these folks.
I could listen to Coco Peru talk for hours!
That line is too good. "I think its just beautiful enough to eat."
Coco is a LEGEND - love her, great episode!
Love Coco! Have been a fan for years, great to see another interview with her. Litter and bulk garbage are the scourge of the modern street!
Love, love, love Coco Peru 💚💚💚
Thanks Delta! 😘😘
best guest ever.... thank you Delta love you!!!!
My favorite episode of Very Delta, come back to it all the time. So much wisdom in this episode. When I first heard Coco say “Out of the bar and into the street” I got chills. Coco is such a wise and courageous woman. I used to watch her trips to Walmart on hunt for panatonee-ze, didn't know she was so intelligent. And Delta, unhinged, but lovable, and also wise.
"my goal was bigger than my fear" nothing to add to that
What an honour to see this episode ❤
Coco and Delta are such a delight together. They compliment each other so well!
It's wild that this episode references Heklina and she just passed away today. RIP Heklina.
Its so wonderful to see 2 icons just talking i really enjoyed this show thanks ❤
Delta your ability to be vulnerable and learn from your guests is what makes you a great host. This was one of my favorite interviews.

Coco is in another level. She’s so funny and smart. ❤️
Im so glad that delta addressed this issue Anyone who shares dressing room space needs to be considerate of the other performers always,
“I’m down with cake, you see what I’m saying?” I can’t decide if it’s the crime of the world that on average only 30k people watch this or if we are just so elite? Truly the best podcast out there. World peace will be achieved through Very Delta.
the beginning rant was one of my favorites!!! its not hard to be considerate of others!!
