    I'm autistic. I had to move house because my neighbours bullied me. I'm scared all the time now in case people bully me again.

      I'm just Aspergers or High functioning Autism. There are certain behaviours people think are weird, or shout at me for like "LOOK AT ME IN THE EYES!! I'M TALKING TO YOU!!" - was from a friend who despite me insisting I was listening MORE when I looked away (before I was diagnosed) he still kept repeatedly shouting at me he said 'if I can do it you can!'. Which is much like a colleague at work when I was saying I can't lower my average call time, I had to complete everything, dot all i's and cross all the t's. He got offended and said 'I can do it so why can't you'. He fell out with me after that.
      Most of my issues are communication, I can't communicate in a group of more than 3, if 2 conversations are going on at once I get confused and sit there for hours not even able to speak or follow people, then I try to speak and of course it is me focused as I cannot focus on all at once - just to take part - then I am rude and offensive.
      I've given up with people now. MOST are disrespectful about autism. My ex girlfriend cheated on me in my own home in my own bed, and my own mother allowed it - I heard all of this from outside as I had been made aware that something was up that night, I had to listen to her telling him she wanted him to take her upstairs a F him - those words used!
      She denied it. She knew I had a weakspot and could be easily confused and frustrated so to avoid responsibility, and also helping me forgive her and recover from the pain, she just confused me, then kept saying it never happened the way it happened and all she did was kiss him when she was drunk. I had so much pain from the thought that my own mother allowed it and she went to my room to sleep with the man, my own girl in my own house with my mother. I tried to forgive her when she said sorry but she refused for almost 2 years to even admit she did anything wrong. She even turned my own mother against me by saying I was nuts - and it worked! Cause my mother calls autism - 'your funny problem'. I had a breakdown and tried to kill myself about 5 times. My ex, still together at the time, didn't even ask me why I did it. She then told me I didn't touch her right, and wasnt talking to her properly. I told her this was getting abusive as I am aspergers and already will never feel or see the world like others. I suppose that must have been her way of telling me why she cheated. She never apologised. Because I had meltdowns due to her refusing to talk, and me being aspergers and NEEDING to talk, she then accused me of being abusive and told my own mother I was abusive, in which case now my mother thinks I am abusive.
      I've given up now. There is no hope for the disabled and the UK is turning worse every day.
      I am physically disabled and was knocked to the ground about a year ago, no single person tried to help, it took me 3 minutes to get up, not a single person in the CITY even looked me in the eyes let alone offered to help, I am a man, and it was an older woman who shoved me to the ground cause she was in a hurry and I could not walk that day.
      My condition is variable, so sometimes my physical pains go away largely, I can promise you I get no trouble at all when I am well but when people see me struggling, all look away, no smiles, just fear and loathing, suddenly the nasty people show their face. I personally think people like that just simply enjoy hurting others cause it makes them feel powerful.

    I’m literally sick to my stomach hearing about these crimes. Britain seems to have more than its share of crimes against the disabled. I feel these type crimes should have extra amount of punishments. If someone feels ok about hurting a disabled person that individual is just evil incarnate and should be judged less than human. If police can’t protect the disabled than what can they do? Society should have a large hellish pit in which to put these individuals who decide to harm someone who already is challenged by life. Put them in said pit and let them harm each other instead of these beautiful brave disabled people.

    You guys comments are so nice, this was a hard video for us all to film but it was such an important issue. This is something I try to now talk about in my everyday and highlight the inequality surrounding disability. It’s also so weird seeing myself on someone else’s channel and not just mine 🤣 again thank you, Paige xx

    i get most problems from middle aged woman in the supermarket. abuse of the disabled is on the increase in the uk.

      @michellee2990 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm late to the video and commenting , but i'm sorry you're going through (or have gone through ) that . I'll never understand grown adults intentionally being mean to others or acting worse than kids do . There's good and bad in all age groups . But over the years I have seen a lot of rude , passive aggressive middle aged women . Sometimes I think they're the worst . I live in the US , and this is my own observation .

    • @ghostlyphantasm2352
      @ghostlyphantasm2352 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@michellee2990 I am a man, when I am ill with severe flare up of auto immune disease - I can barely walk.
      I have had bad situations with men but women are more special, an older woman pushed me over and shouted 'GET OUT MY WAY!', one woman hit me with her pram when I could barely walk and started shouting at me that I could have hurt her child - I could barely friggin walk!
      Being in the UK I can confirm things are getting very bad, very quickly, even the government in the UK after 12 years of calling the disabled 'parasites', 'leaches' and 'a burden on the state' - I think Hitler would be proud of such barbaric and heartless attitudes, but hey ho! If you don't agree with them you are a traitor or something, something about the never ending wars for peace that only causes more war, misery and destruction.
      If you haven't got cash - attack the sick, that's the UK government's response to the crisis, create a hate campaign against the disabled and justify cutting their money, health support and making them work.
      We have had people who were dying go to a fit for work assessment for their disability support and healthcare, insane yes! But some of these people, and I am talking THOUSANDS IN THE UK died before they got the good news they were fit for work. Some worked all their lives and had their money stopped a month or so away from dying. What a disgusting way to go for a person, it's just despicable.
      I hear in USA they are no longer called 'homeless' they are now 'living outside'. And also they are not 'shipping them out to a refugee camp' - oh no! They are 'putting them in useful accommodation in a location that does not upset shoppers or tourists'.

    The way the public ignore (and therefore perpetuate) discrimination against PWD is vile. During the pandemic it has reached SUCH a level...I find it increasingly hard to cope with, this public apathy. The low views on this video are illustrative of how little the Able world cares.

    very sorry & sad that this unkindness and intolerance is so rife, i'm disabled with arthiritis and emphysema, but its not visual, so i'm not usually targeted, because they think my mobilty scooter i shop in, is down to my age, but i do fear attacks, just as you all do

    • @johnbest4513
      @johnbest4513 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yeah and disabled people are weaker, so more likely to be attacked. And we can't defend ourselves because we can't carry guns or weapons. And if we are attacked the people who do it will be let off with a fine and community service.

    People should call that out in the street, people walk by.. Part of the problem, I would destroy someone for picking on disabled people, although I find referring to them as just that label, uncomfortable, they are people first, they are many things like everyone else..

      I prefer the term disabled myself. Cause I am disabled.
      All this differently abled stuff seems to be another reason to try to justify these people as being normal and not in need of any help.
      Other people - do what you want, but me - call me disabled. That is the medical term - why not use it? What's wrong with saying it?

    What was wrong with my comment?! Because i spoke up about how able bodied people deny this happens? Because i said that the one time i tried to film it they stole my phone? Way to go, suppress the actual experience of a disabled person.
    It was not hate speech against able bodied people.
