I have to say thank you to you Im a high schooler playing one piece and I didnt have the budget to get the new purple cards so finding this decklist helped me not drop the game thank you
the good news is that bandai has announced at nationals that they will be printing more product so prices should see a bit of a pull back soon, i agree that the market is way to ridiculous rn
i like the idea of this Deck, but is it better than Film package? Because i have had good experiences with that into Sakazuki. If you can set up just a few double or triple plays with Luffy, they tend to run out of removal pretty quick. Against Enel and Luffy it's a bit more dicey, but still perfectly winnable.
I personally like it better than the film package, I don't think Film can keep up at the moment with what we have currently, I use the same idea where it takes more resources to get rid of 8c kidd, they need to ice age/leader ability/hound blaze, or hard play hina/borsalino, both situations they have a card that they only play 2-3 of, i fully expect one to get removed, but usually i can clear their board while they're trying to get over the second one
@@ChopperCommander i have kot seen 8c Kid in this deck, you mean 7c? Sure they have difficulties removing it, but they have more problems with 7c Luffy plus the 4c drop it brings with it. If Birdcage makes the difference so they can at least not attack multiple times with characters for board clear, maybe then i could see it work better than Film. But honestly i can’t quite see how.
no, watch my updated decklist along with my match videos, i dropped the 7c for the 8c and a few other changes, i specifically recorded a few matches against some saka players at locals because i had people ask the same quesiton
You shouldn't just use them whenever, I use them to keep birdcage from going off, so when you're already at 10, i can use 2 of the -1 effects per turn without it hurting since you get 2 back next turn
Depends on the matchup, usually I like to have my opponent already have something out and rested, so for example my 5c turn I'll drop a diamante to tank a hit from one of their characters and then I'll drop the cage, but if it's a fast deck like red, I'll drop it as soon as I get the chance, I'll have more game videos uploaded this week, still working on editing
i've edited the deck after more testing and now play 2 2c corazon, but nah monet is not necessary, if it would rest a 5c then i would but plenty of stuff to rest 4c as it is

Going second, the style is still very much like it played in OP04 where its a control deck to slow down the game to get to the point where you have more resources and advantage later in the game
It is not the same letter, it is the same name but not a letter. Like the Eustass "Captain" Kid, there are several with the same name but it is not the same card.
I was thinking about making a deck like this but then realised any sakazuki player with a brain would just hold a sabo in hand and play it the turn before bird cage effect pops off
I did play punk gibson intially but then after my matches I realized that the OP05 format is very heavy on the 5c so i traded them out for thunder bagua
actually i'm playing 4 thunder bagua, punk gibson wasn't doing too much as the meta decks really are playing more 5c than anything, and this way i can speed up to play my bigger bodies to deal with them@@pinoermenegildo814
@@pinoermenegildo814 the 8c kid is in because enel has a real hard time getting over it without constantly dropping a katakuri, so it's in there for that match, my hardest matchup rn in this meta is purple luffy, when they hit fast, i take too much damage and i still have to spend a turn to set up birdcage to reduce future attacks and then they drop a rush kaido

How do you recover dons from the "-1 abilities" in this deck?

Should run the 2d Rosinante blocker on turn 10 you can trash him and save your whole board
