    Transgo now has a repair kit for these pressure switches. The part # is PSR-5. The repair membranes and seals also come in the 6T70 shift kit Transgo part # SK 6T70. I haven't personally used one of these yet but I intend to. The TEHCM retails for about $670. Kind of a hard sale when adding it to a rebuild.

    I have a 2015 chevy impala 3.6 and am throwing p0877 and p0989 codes. I replaced the seals and diaphragm at valve body cause they were bad. still has same issue. reverse works great. drive holds under load when holding break and gas. but the sec I move forward it goes straight into neutral. not like it's slipping. then you coast back to a stop and it's right back in drive. and same thing. give it gas it pulls great and then about 2 or 3mph it's like it got thrown right back into neutral then when it comes to almost a full stop it's right back in gear again.

    Thanks for posting this video, Hiram. I am currently doing this project at home in my garage with my wife's 2008 Acadia. I would greatly appreciate it if you could answer several questions. Regarding the pressure switch failure, it appears to be a piece of semi-transparent plastic that covers the pressure switch. How does this create a failure? Can the plastic piece just be removed? Do you know what the replacement TCM part number is? Doesn't it have to be reflashed or programmed by GM to match the VIN? Regarding the sun gear damage, would you replace it if there was some scratches due to broken parts of the waved plate? Our Acadia did get 2 DTC codes:
    P0700 - Transmission Control System Malfunction
    P0752 - Shift Solenoid A Circuit Stuck On
    Would this be representative of both the TCM failure and the waved plate broken? I just disassembled the transmission and 3 of the pressure swiches looked like the ones you posted in the video. Also, the waved plate was broken. Thank you.

      Hey did you ever fix your transmission? I have the same problems just a different solenoid is stuck off how did you repair the tcm pressure switch

    • @Alan_IwannaDucati
      @Alan_IwannaDucati 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Shimon La Hee' Yes, I did fix the transmission, but I dropped the entire engine / transmission cradle, disassembled the transmission, replaced the pressure switch seals, 5-R wave plate, drum, friction plates, timing chains, power steering gear, water pump, power steering pump, and a lot of other components all at one time. You can buy a repair kit for the pressure switches, Transgo PSR-5, www.transgo.com/products.php?homeinclude=catalog&category_id=191&parent_id=31&product_id=279&start=0. Assuming you have an Acadia or Enclave, you will probably need to replace the 5-R wave plate and drum assembly also. If you replace the pressure switch seals instead of replacing the entire TCM, it will not need to be re-programmed.

      +Alan Ida ok thanks well im getting a performance or stuck off solenoid error code im hoping the tcm and valvebody are in good shape i have the 6t30 will the transgo kit work with those as well

    • @Alan_IwannaDucati
      @Alan_IwannaDucati 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know if the PSR-5 kit will work with the 6T30. It only indicates 6T70 and 6T75. I'm not sure if the TCM is common between the 6T30 and 6T70/75 transmissions. You may have to find out if the part numbers are similar or common between the transmissions. It's possible the TCM is the same but it may have a different part number due to different programming.

    Yep, I definitely think the 6T75E is gonna wind up being the 4L60E of the 2010's.

    • @dmorley100
      @dmorley100 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Look foward to it. I'm not at all familiar with the 6T75E as far as inner workings go, but from the way you described the one you have out in the parking lot right now, it sounds like it would make an excellent video as far as showing how vital it is to know how power flows through the gear set on ANY transmission, not just this one.

    • @DS-ss396

      I think the 4L60's take the same diaphragm kit.

    Hi Hiram. My car is a Daewoo Lacetti 2009 (the one which looks the same as Chevy Cruz), and I think that the transmission type is 6T30 or 40, and the same TCM as the one on your video. I got two error codesP0723 output speed sensor circuit intermittent, and P0878 Transmission fluid pressure switch 4 circuit high voltage. Could the problem just be solved by replacing the speed sensor and the pressure switch? Because I was told that there's a possibility that the problem might still remain even after the replacement (could be an electrical one).

    My 2012 Traverse, started with jumping RPM in overdrive 1500-2000 RPM, would bounce, now it is shifting rough on downshift. Is this bad torque converter or TCM issues or both? Random p0300 codes just started recently. Shifts fine during acceleration. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    I have 2010 Chevy Traverse. I just found out today that I have a Failed Pressure Switches on TCM. I did not have any Waveplate codes at all. Does that mean I am ok to just change the TCM, the transmission shop told me that is all just TCM

    • @AutomaticTransmission

      +Derrick Stephens have them drain the fluid, use a paint filter to catch the metal particles. If your fluid looks metallic then your wavy is broken. If the fluid comes out clean then you'll be okay. The fluid will be dark with age, what you're looking for is metal in the fluid.

    • @meogiee
      @meogiee 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem was the TCM and bad solenoid/Pressure switching within the TCM which cause my Traverse to go into Limp Mode and when I took it out from Drive to Park and Back to Drive it was fine the code was pulled from TCM (6T75E code).
      NO wave place issue because I was not getting any shuttering from transmission nor did I received the P0842 or P0877 codes.
      Cost me $1381(New GM TCM) with New fluid. I was told I caught it before it got bad. I have only put about 200 Miles on it so we will see what happens after this Long to Florida trip and back should be about 1500-1800 miles.

    Have you done any work on old BMW transmissions?
    Specifically, I am getting some vibration at high speeds from an '88 e34, I think it's from the transmission, but could be tailshaft or diff. I know this is rather vague, and you're not looking at the vehicle directly, I am not really expecting an answer to this, but if you could point me in the right direction, I would be rather grateful.
    I'll need to do all required repairs on this myself, will post videos on youtube.

    I just had the P0752 shift solenoid stuck on code. I'm having a bad feeling about this transmission. I bought a 2007 outlook used last November and according to GM the recalls have been repaired. The car shifts fine but about once a month I have a stumble shortly after startup when I turn left that causes the car to go into limp mode and throw the code. If i restart the car it drives as normal and after a couple of startups the CEL goes off. It's annoying and I've thought about repairing it but is the shift solenoid in the transmission? I can't find much info about it. If it is I'll consider just having the transmission replaced. Do you know if GM improved the rebuilt transmissions so they don't fail as easily?

      12Nm torque tightened in sequence starting center bolt moving outward. Lowest center bolt is 55mm long, 4 bolts directly above it are 80mm long. Next bolt above the 55mm long bolt, but offset is 65mm long. Three bolts somewhat aligned above the 65mm long bolt are 95mm long, then somewhat above those comes the 42mm long bolt and somewhat above that one is the 65mm long bolt. Best of luck!

    Bro, if you can help me you will be my savior and I will love you forever! 2010 Cad SRX, I can not get any codes and there are no check engine lights.but the dealer is telling me they get P0851, P0877, P0989. The reason I doubt any internal destruction or that they are actually getting any codes at all is because the car only does this 1 time each morning. And that is it shifts from 1 to 2 and when it's supposed to shift to 3rd it goes back to 1st. When I pull over, put in park I can take off again and it runs fine all day! Please help, I think it's something in a control module but my Dealer wants to sell me a new trans! BTW, I can also drive hard and force a shift (from years of driving motorcycles and stick shifts with a bad clutch, lol) but I'm kind of afraid of doing that in an expensive car. .
