- And finally finishing up the Syphon Filter Trilogy. We're back with Gabe Logan and Lian Xing's mission to prevent Syphon Filter from getting into the wrong hands once more. The game features many back story elements.
Gabe and Lian find themselves in Tokyo, to stop an arms deal and assassinate Shi-Hao, who plans on using Syphon Filter in his war against his homeland of China. - เกม

Played this when i was about 10, never finished it, this part of the game looked so difficult back then, i always got killed somehow. Looking at it now it's funny because it actually looks like a piece of cake lol

I just found this game after searching a week. What I remember is hotel shooting and a tazer gun. I never be able to finished this part of the game because this game was one of the first game Ive ever played also that time I didnt know English. Now its big nostalgia time for me. Thanks for sharing
The music bring me tears, this is my first shooting game I ever played we used to fight over this game, when all the brothers and cousins came over for weekend. I’m definitely buying it again on ps vita it a precious memories

This game has Star Wars logic where Gabe understands what the Japanese say as he replies English XD.
It's not Star Wars logic because translators are still needed there. It's Tekken logic where language barriers do not exist at all.

They should've seriously saved this game for the PS2, as the PS1 was already dead in the water when it came out.
Don't be stupid. If it came out on the PS2 then gameplay wise it'd be like Dark Mirror/Logan's Shadow, and no one wants that. DM/LS lost the Syphon Filter feeling that 1/2/3 had.

I wish they had continued the story instead of this boring court accusations, and nonsensical prequel flashbacks into the past that lasts pretty much the entire game. It would have been cooler seeing a new strain of the virus, having Missions with Shi Hao as the main villain, or a new terrorist for Gabe to hunt down. Instead of a call to court, the mission could've continued with Gabe going through the streets and trailing henchmen, and then tracking down enemy bases.

I agree that the plot was boring. Constant flashbacks are one of the worst ways to create any kind of story and I don't think I ever liked it.
They should have made separate games for those characters and with the right marketing, fans would love it.
Resurrecting old villains is lazy. Resurrecting dead characters is just terrible writing.
This was one of my favourite game series, but everything just sort of expired over the years. Sadly, SF and the team behind it is no longer relevant. I still watch videos of SF every few years, just to remember how fun it was.
