- Some of the Japanese subtitles at the beginning of the video are made by myself. My Japanese is not very good, so I hope I wrote them correctly.
I love this animate, though it is not well known in China. I have made many MAD/AMV about this animate since 2015, try to let more people know this animate. I will post those MAD on youtube later, but I am worried that some videos will not be uploaded on TH-cam due to copyright issues, so if you're really interested in them, you can visit my channel on BiliBili.

これは評価されるべき作品
たった一隻でも必ず地球の為に盾になって戦うヤマトはボロボロになっても美しいな。
実際、後の世代のハーロックや、999の時代では伝説として語り継がれていますしね
沖田艦長が横目にアンドロメダを見てるとこの合成がめちゃめちゃうまくて粋だとだと思った。
リメイクのみ、という方は多くいらっしゃいますが、こうして歴代ヤマトを出してくるあたり、愛を感じますね。
これが日本が誇る超大作、「宇宙戦艦ヤマト」シリーズの軌跡ですか…

In Japan you all should be proud of Yamato. It is an epic story. Yamato forever!!!

The whole video is a bop but ngl I get feelings in certain segments, like the Yamato's rising sequence, WMG charge-up sequence, and then the titles sequence, watching the decades of this singular persisting idea of the Space Battleship Yamato go by.

The real yamato never saw huge battle and sunk before get to show it's full armament but I'm happy i get to see it in anime fights :))

ah yes... the best Space Opera anime... Space Battleship Yamato... the one that makes Yamato feel less depressed i guess
As okita once said in the original:
"Yamato in ww2 was build a warship, a sad fate for her, destined to be destroyed or kill mindlessly. This here Space Battleship Yamato is build as a Saving ship for Humanity, as their Hope". The Original plan was ment to have her as an life ark to evacuate earth with, only when Iscandar sent help and the plans for the warpdrive and wave motion engine did they rebuild her into what she became (in the OG it was a Warship again... they basicaly SLAUGHTERED gamilas left and right, laying waste to the main capitol and nearly destroying the planet with the WMG... in the 2199 version they sticked with the idea AND plan that she is to safe, not destroy. She can defend herself thou(in 2202 you even see Sanada remiscent about Ginga the same way "this is what Yamato was actualy designed to be, a exploration vessel that could support a fleet)

@@britishneko3906 i always imagine the yamato and the roma fighting together, everyone hailed the bismarck or the iowa, but no one ever hailed the marco polo, vittorio veneto, roma and the littorio, those ships still got destroyed by order of the USA because they were too technologic for those years, anyways the yamato and the roma together would be the terminators of the seas.

You know it would be interesting it they did a prequel series that followed the Interplantery War.
Who would need that? its obvious mars loses yet a far greater enemy emerges RIGHT AFTER IT. Some info about why Japan is the leader of the EDF thou would be nice (might be because they build the vast majority of warships? Or rather created them, every shipclass safe the new ones (Andromeda, Dreadnought etc.) carrie Japanese class names (and if i recall right they where never named back in the OG series safe the Kongou class Kirishima)
@@christianresel8051 That is true, but still an interesting story in my opinion. It would be like the Star Wars prequels we know how it is going to end, but that doesn't mean the journey there isn't going to be an interesting story. Shrug.
