RIP to Arnaldo (Mr. Falcón) Ramírez, Rubén Benavides, Domingo Peña and Rogelio Botello Ríos, the hosts of their respective Tejano shows in the Valley and Peña in Corpus Christi.
It was 43 yrs ago when I first heard Tejano music when I was stationed in Germany. My awesome fellow Tejano camaradas introduced this blessed music to me! I had never heard it growing up because I grew up in Cali, ah, but I was born in El Paso Texas and so it was in my DNA! The rest was history....
Grow up with this music and still love it. Remembered play at Mrs Ann's in Houston, Texas. Sunday afternoons. This takes me back to the early 60's. Have to stay in touch.
