  • Testing the JCB Hydradig Smooth ride system on and off road. I’ve always found the SRS to be a great addition to JCB wheeled excavators, making life behind the levers more comfortable as well as giving you more confidence with the forks over poor site ground conditions.
    Thanks for watching

Tbh your not the first person to say that Billy, love to hear other operators feedback on the hydradig wether it’s good or bad if you’ve got any particular issues in mind, I’d wouldn’t mind hearing them pal 👍

@@lifebehindthelevers I've done about 750 hours on the one I'm employed to drive . Tbh I like it on the whole , there's just a lot I don't like too! I hate how the blade isn't "the front" of the undercarriage, and how the engine is on the cab side of the machine when facing the blade (as you tend to be 99% of the time as it's your solid axle) there's A LOT of noise . I hate the cab too, mine dosent have a sliding side window so when you want to speak to a wagon driver say who pulls alongside it means swinging the whole door back .. also the view from the seat is great down towards the ground Infront but when lifting and loading wagons the view straight ahead/slightly upward is horrendous. I could go on but they are a few off the top of my head

@@RemFireball the backwards blade gets me every time, I started out on JS160W so the blade at the front is hard wired into me. They do have an option extra where you can make it to run blade side forwards but The one I operated never had the option.
Kicking up dust from the engine fan on dry site roads doesn’t go down too well.
I always struggled with it while loading wagons, the positioning of the front wiper motor isn’t the best. They have rectified it with the new model though.
Not a whole load of feedback out there with this machine, appreciate you taking the time to comment Billy, hopefully people can read these comments and have a better understanding of the pro’s and con’s of the hydradig 👍

@@lifebehindthelevers What was the option you say? Mine has no legs and I just wish the blade AND solid axle was at the front other end of the machine in relation to the engine basically. I can reverse the steering for when facing the blade which is great, but oddly the forward reverse switch does now change direction to suit ! I would have thought that would be pretty easy programming like reversing the steering

@@lifebehindthelevers I don't get much dust , the fan only really blows hard on for a few seconds on startup (in reverse to clear the rad I assume) this creates a lot of dust then thereafter you hardly hear it .
