This is perfect, thanks! Babe / I'm Ok got me into Styx, and Cornerstone was a great first of their albums for me to get. The sound's powerful on this tape as well.
@@isaacg2008 After 45 years though kind of hard to remember it all but I know I had a good time at the concert. In reflection, of course, not my favorite album of theirs (still think 'First Time' is one of their worst songs ever), but at the time it came out I thought the album was great. They were riding on the tide of 'Pieces of Eight' so fans like me at the time wouldn't even criticize it because, after all, it was Styx.
I was definitely at the 20 June show and this playlist seems about right. I can recall a few things about the show: (i) Styx arrived in the UK that day and were delayed in customs so the gig started late; (ii) the support band Saga were excellent (indeed I seem to recall that Sounds journalist (Geoff Barton who was a staunch Styx supporter?) commented that they blew Styx off the stage; (iii) the band, especially Dennis, seemed a bit tetchy probably because of (i) and (ii); and (iv) during a quiet piece with Dennis on keyboards (I thought it was "Babe" but I don't think it was the encore), he was getting heckled by the crowd and he commented at one point "I think a mouse just ran across my foot" which appeared to be an attempt at some kind of put down on the heckler. I didn't detect that exchange on this recording but if it's there then that is definitely the date.
I remember seeing this show in Milwaukee. This really brings back memories. TY for posting this.
That’s awesome that you got to go see them during this tour!

Saw them on this tour (Cornerstone) on October 27, 1979 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. Great Show!
The cornerstone album released only 8 days before the concert you went to that’s awesome!

@@MarkWoodall-o1h so this is from June of 1980? Thank you for the information and it’s cool that you were there!
I went ahead and changed the title to “6-??-1980” until a date is pinpointed
Possibly the same venue as queen played in 75 then again in 79
June 1980, they played 3 nights 20, 21 and 22nd
So I believe this show actually took place sometime in June of 1980, not sure on the exact date.
When I downloaded the file I was just labeled “Styx- london79”
I’ll do more research
