Excellent, having a comprehensive how-to like this is a real benefit to everyone who uses your products! I'm currently playing with the composite mod schematics you provided a few years ago, but eventually I will likely use a CoCoDV for the CoCo2 I'm planning on keeping for myself. Again, your work is very much appreciated!
I've got a T1 Korean CoCo2 I will do this on. Instead of moving the capacitor to the bottom of the board, couldn't I just "elevate" the CoCoDV? Also, I'm looking at the case and wonder if I could mount the board below the cartridge port? I don't have the system board right now though so I can't test at the moment. Good information on the ribbon cable. I may want a longer one if I try to relocate the IO board. I'm leaning in favor of getting a project box and mounting it there, then using a screw from the inside of the CoCo case to screw into the project box. It looks pretty good in my head :)
So there are questions about "is this compatible with CoCoVGA?" Obviously not. I wonder if future firmware updates could support whatever it is CoCoVGA does. I am not sure what software makes use of CoCoVGA but I prefer the futureproofing of an HDMI connector over VGA.... at least it will live longer than VGA. Now if only there was a hack to inject sound into the board which the designer doesn't claim any responsibility for us hackers doing so....separate sound seems so.... Even those SCART adapter things provide sound but those are analog where the goal of this is to be digital from end to end which is very good.
A few people have made use of the new features in CocoVGA and CocoDV, but by and large, the most important feature is to provide the backward compatibility. If CocoVGA is ever abandoned, I'll try to work in whatever upgrades it provides so they are accessible for those who really need them.
Yes, the CocoDVs are still selling. I have a couple remaining from the most recent batch and another batch will be built this week. I have people contact me via email and the email address can be found on my channel "About" tab. Also it is ac8bitzone and the provider is gmail.

Let me know if you still need anything. Thanks!
Excellent guide and excellent product!👍
Many thanks!
Can't wait!
Thanks Bob! I will be looking into the question you have on a certain game and the graphics you are seeing with your CocoDV.

Did we already work this out for you? If not, contact me because it easy fairly easy to work around these days. Thanks!
Mocking aside I’m presently looking into rebuilding my coco2 setup and I’ll contact you for ordering one.
Definitely go for it as the time is right. Hardware is readily available again.
6:18 I usually just stack a few sockets for this kind of clearance requirement, just an idea
Best idea for sure. Later, I found risers with round pins and they work well too.
