Afternoons with my grandmother wonderful memories
REALLY good!
These plays have transformed my life for the better. Many thanks 📻⭐️
I listened to this some months ago and really enjoyed it. I myself was in the Signal Corp. and could relate to this story.
This was a great story. Hello, I don't know what that army division even is. Did you have a good time? May I please ask, what were your duties & for how long did you stay? I'd love to hear all about it. Wasn't the war 70 years ago now? May I ask what age did you enlist must have been just 16 when you enlisted. My how time flies. I love to read & WW2, the Russian Revolution & ancient history & empires are my favourite genres. I love them in movies too. I am a 47 year old Irish lady. You should write a book on your army experience! 📕God bless from Ireland. It is Thursday the 3rd of November 2022@3.02 am.

A very good play indeed.
Loved it. Thank you so much
Brilliant drama 👍👍👍👍👍
Brilliant. Thank you so much I really enjoyed that.
What an excellent wartime drama 🎭
A world away from the usual ‘Cops & Sci-fi ! Piffle That infest the airways today 👍🇬🇧
Me too, love love love this channel, look forward to checking what delights await me every day, I’m addicted. Thank you so much Chesterton 👌
Me too, I’m an addict 📻
WW2 story of a British coastal battery position which, besides repelling the Hun must ferret out the spy among them and stop the sabotage... Much thanks to mine host Chesterton for finding these gems 💎
Thanks!
Really appreciate the synopsis!
Thank you so much for the synopsis x
Excellent use of "mine host"!
Like spy stories. My father was an infiltrating agent in Japanese camps in WW2. Good memory plus able to estimate distances on sight with reasonable accuracy. You cannot write anything coz if you get caught, your head is off via samurai.
Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed this. These wonderful treasures are keeping me sane!!!

I never listened to, "BBC Saturday Night Theatre." and it really was like theatre. I think except for a few shows I guess I have stuck to American shows. I loved this, it was so suspenseful, right until the end. Thank you, it is wonderful to find a new show, boy, I love OTR!. B).
Thanks for listening. I really enjoy the old Saturday Night Theater shows too. I discovered them not long ago myself.
The Saturday Night Theater shows are all in our playlist: Plays.ChestertonRadio.com
@@ChestertonRadio I’ll definitely look at that, but I kind of like listening to what you just put on. I feel like it’s really radio. It’s organized, its very good. I had stopped listening to otr on YT. I’ve become a true crime nut, but it’s nice feeling like it’s my new radio station. Lol
I have to try your CBS posts. I never liked them despite the cast because they feel too new somehow. It’s silly. I’m going to try and ignore that and listen.
Thanks. I worked in radio for some time and I've been trying to share a variety of shows on the Chesterton Radio channel so it feels a bit like a radio station
Clicking "shuffle play" in our playlists also gives that radio station feel
Very worth while to listen to! Galloping tongues but adds to the tension!
Thank you.
I do love the wartime era plays and audio dramas👍
This is 8 Feb 2024, took me back thats for sure.
Thank you kindly young man 👍
great
A good listen 👂 📻
At the end when the truck went over the cliff, no mention of a driver in it, or a body floating when the search was mounted , 🤔 Thourghly enjoyed this BBC production on Chesterton Radio 👍
👌👌👌
Hello everybody. It is Thursday the 3rd of November 2022 @2.52 am, in Ireland now. 🧡🇮🇪💚 This was a very good drama. If you're wide awake, please tell me your details your country & your time , date etc 🤠😁👍🏼€days
We need more Lt Holts !! Though today he'd be dismissed
for " bullying " ie. asking people to do their jobs.
great twist
Good play but there were no operational jets in use shortly after Dunkirk, they came in much later in the war.
Originally broadcast as a Saturday Night Theatre drama production on Saturday 1st July, 1972....yes, almost 49 years ago (source Genome project).
Wonderfully crafted story, script and cast.
Army story about German spies in UK military. Fun detective stuff.
U
Excellent story, made when the bbc still produced quality entertainment instead of anti English marxist /racist propaganda.
What utter tripe...could you give us an example of "anti English marxist /racist propaganda"?
@@davidsandz2186 Agreed. Utter nonsense.
You re very silly,seevee2000
Boring, 🙁
