    0:35 it took me like 10 minutes to find a picture of that wire harness. Not on rockford's site, nor crutchfield's, nor anyone! wtf thanks for showing the full breakout cable it makes more sense now. If only marketing for car audio would catch up to reality... how hard is it to include a picture of a breakout cable that COMES WITH the product? Or how hard is it to write the actual output wattage on the marketing? thanks for the vid.

    very informative content,can these be used on a boat?

      Yes they are water resistant and ok for boats. That is one of the application Rockford recommends we sell them for.

    It still uses the ground/the negative on your battery, so basically it still requires power from your vehicle, I can do the same exact thing if I just use the high level input on my 4ch full range amplifier. 400 bucks retail for a pair of 60 watt amplifiers, just to make something more compact, totally not worth it.

      +Random Tube it does not use the power from your battery. The red wire is not a power connection like a normal amp. In 99% of the applications it is not used. Yes it is a costly product and not for everyone, but no it is not like a normal amp.

    Water resistant, not waterproof?

    not worth it for the price it cost. about the same price you can get a entry level 4ch amp

      It is costly, but it may be worth it depending on the application. Remember they are making a hard push into the ATV/ motor sports market. This could be a real problem solver there. On that type of vehicle you have no room and limited power for bigger amps.

    Now only they would have done a amp dyno on these...

    what do you think about Hifonics ?

    • @FiveStarCarStereoInc
      @FiveStarCarStereoInc  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good for the price, way over rated on the power output. We carry them.

    So double the power of the headunit. Most aftermarket head units claim 15-20WRMS, so this does 40-45WRMS.....and claims 100WRMS.....and costs $400/pair (only sold in pairs). RIP OFF.

      Only 40-50w RMS because they were running a 4 ohm reactive load so more like 4-8ohms dynamically. Connect it to a 2ohm load and it will do 75-100w. 115 or so on the birthsheet on a static 2 ohm load
