Whoa didn't expect to see you here. Anyway yeah first, they did the figure 8 loop, now polercoaster - I guess a powered coaster is all it takes to make those real
I'm still genuinely curious if you guys have even built a prototype to prove this stuff is smooth and comfortable, I heard the old spike coasters are pretty bumpy so I'd imagine something on a larger scale like this could face the same issues?
While these Spike Coaster designs are aesthetically pleasing, they lack some critical elements that make roller coasters thrilling. There is no reliance on gravity, so your brain intuitively knows that a Spike Coaster can’t go too fast, it can’t go too slow, it can’t roll back, etc. Moreover, there is a certain feeling you get in your stomach when your body is subject to the forces of gravity. I hope to see these new Maurer designs in parks near me, and I also hope we have rollercoasters that are subject to natural forces for years to come.
I agree with this! Coasters rely on gravity to make a thrilling experience, otherwise it kinda feels like a flat ride. Not only that but also the fact that it's powered all the way through makes it less cost-effective.
Im guesing since the speed can be controlled, they can tailor the design specifically for the building, allowing for a more stable and potentually thrilling ride experience for a coaster built around a building. But I can easily imagine the electricity price tag of this coaster being a bit much, and capacity is low, making this better fit for smaller parks.
They could put this in Orlando since the previous concept failed to proceed construction. It could have the exact same colors as the previous concept as well
Its kinda funny how you guys look at this. Think it looks amazing. Yet to me i am just like, wow this is a freaking nightmare to maintain. Combine with the fact that the magnetic launch system runs the entire Length of the tower. a tower that Dose not have any kind of maintenance access points. I am just like, wow this thing is more of a pipe dream then anything else. as i half expect this thing to be down 80% of the time. Hell it has 3 trains but no block sections. and it seems to have a moving loading station. and you wonder why no one wants to buy these rides.
This layout is reversed. 😮 The train should start climbing the vertical lift in the center and then gradually wind its way down. Like the Polar coaster. Not the other way around. 🤔🤨🤔👌
looks good but let's be honest... My logical brain tells me that a self powered coaster ABSOLUTELY has to affect the normal forces that we feel (AND LOVE) when riding a classic gravity driven one! Until i ride one and are proven wrong I DOUBT that this type will be as fun because of the "controlled factor" and limitations of mechanical parts and motors but i am open to being wrong! lol
LG
Maurer just revitalized the polar coaster
Better stay away from Orlando, otherwise they'll risk Universal running them out of town like the last company that attempted one... 👀
Real
Maurer is cooking with designs
Cooking with designs that will never be bought
@@coasters4life388and where’s your proof of that? there’s been plenty of spike coasters bought from them
Personaly disagree
Polercoaster ahh layout
bro what are the transitions tho 💀💀💀
Whoa didn't expect to see you here. Anyway yeah first, they did the figure 8 loop, now polercoaster - I guess a powered coaster is all it takes to make those real
@DigitalDan would this fit in the footprint of Enterprise at Alton?
Hi digital Dan 😊
I wish you well Rizz
Maurer out here making the kind of cracked designs that put Planet Coaster modders to shame.
Dude I play PlanCo and No Limits 2 regularly, even with my cracked ass brain I could never come up with this lol
The fact that amusement parks have yet to line up to get their hands on these new designs is baffling! These guys are changing the game!
@TylerPCoyne it makes sense when you take in account maintenance, evacuation procedures, capacity and overall disinterest from the GP
there's probably a reason other powered coaster models haven't become widespread
Love how the polercoaster refuses to die and each new take is somehow even more memeable.
The designs coming out of Maurer lately look amazing and make me wonder if I need to take whatever "vitamins" this designer does.
This era in theme parks is quite possibly the greatest "revolution" era in Coaster history. Almost like Coaster Wars 2.0
So this is basically "We have a polar coaster at home", the ride.
I swear Maurer is coming out with a design everyday
Maurer is COOKING! Please build these soon Maurer! 🙏😊
Maurer might be one of the best visionaries wow
Maurer you’re onto something great with this model. We love to see it!!!!!
Already another banger model
Looks awesome! I hope someone builds one of these!
Maurer im ngl these concepts are fire
one day maurer was like “no more mr nice guy” and just started shitting out these wild coaster designs
Hell yeah I want to see one of these
That drop!!!!
Would make a fun indoor coaster!
0:40 are you going to stop on facing straight down🤔🤔🤔
As a PolerCoaster enthousiast I love it ❤
Babe wake up another Maurer Spike layout dropped
Maurer you are eating too many brownies and it’s awesome
These spike coasters (or whatever they're called) look pretty crazy 😅
Epic universe could do something fun with a spike coaster
wich park gonna buy this shhht maurer stop with the spike model
Spike fun tower 55 looks too intense for me!
Cant wait to see the evac procedures on this in the case of a power cut or system fault.💀
System fault is easy enough; just let it fall down to a known safe spot. Power cut is a bit trickier.
Im actually curious of someone would buy this, and if they could even pull this off
Oh we’re doing this again ok
Polar coaster: never existed
Maurer: hold my spike coaster
This is so weird i love it
Transitions kinda goody ngl
I'm still genuinely curious if you guys have even built a prototype to prove this stuff is smooth and comfortable, I heard the old spike coasters are pretty bumpy so I'd imagine something on a larger scale like this could face the same issues?
Polercoaster reborn moment

Mayer should make a spinning spike coaster, that could be super disorienting
This ride be cool🎉🎉
The concept of building up to a big drop is quite cool actually
It's kinda like Full Throttle at Magic Mountain but wayyyyyyy more insane.
Im guesing since the speed can be controlled, they can tailor the design specifically for the building, allowing for a more stable and potentually thrilling ride experience for a coaster built around a building. Reminds me of another great coaster that was planned in a tower but never built...forgot the name. But great idea
why is maurer uploading new models every couple days its kind of surprising
POLER COASTER 2.0!!!
The question is are these credits or not because they have controlled speed
try it in reverse put the lift inside the middle and then you can go down hill into the inversions as well!
This is a cool design but with how unrealiable these spike coasters are I just don’t know if parks will take the chance
The children yearn for the Polercoaster
Maurer, Intamin already tried that
no wayyyyyyyyyyyyy going up no chain lifts needed:)
They could put this in Orlando since the previous concept failed to proceed construction. It could have the exact same colors as the previous concept as well
Old school tobaggan coaster mixed with the polar coaster... Wow
Cannabis Legalisierung hatte unvorhergesehene folgen I love it xD
YALL ARE CRAZY😭
Maurer is the Pharrell Williams of roller coaster design bruh
Maurer’s Polar Coaster
Having been on one of these (prototype version), it's pretty dreadful... Why do they keep going down this path haha...
i can only imagine how rough this would be.
Hey Maurer designer are ya doing ok?
Oh wait. I think it was pretty obvious but I’m just now noticing, but are these powered rides and not “coasters”?
maurer is on some hard drugs rn
I mean, it definitely looks cool, but would it really be that fun? I think the controlled speed would take away too much for me to enjoy it
It can simulate gravity, along with random launches and brakes.
Well doesn’t this look familiar 👀
Looks good but the ending? What the hell 🤦🏻♂️
They need to offer something different coaster wise we have the spike coaster but they need to add to their portfolio. But I can see this happening
It looks so uncomfortable
These layouts all look like spaghetti coasters in Theme park tycoon 2 😭

How bizarre hahah
This is awesome, but it's just not Irish enough.
Perhaps the Shamrock would be better for you, then?
This layout is reversed. 😮 The train should start climbing the vertical lift in the center and then gradually wind its way down. Like the Polar coaster. Not the other way around. 🤔🤨🤔👌
I swear to god Maurer is on crack

arrow
maurer is on crack rn, first the shamrock now this.
Lol its powered. Its not a coaster.
They’ve definitely lost it
LG
This rides are awful. They go one speed throughout the layout
LMAO NOBODY BUYING THIS
Yeah and it will never get built either. Nice concept but nobody is willing to be the first to build one.
