Bea raised the bar for all the European airlines that followed
Great 1969 British European Airways commercial!!
So beautiful in all details
Love the naughty Seaside Music.... so 60's
Beautiful such class 👍🇬🇧
Much preferred the Trident Three to fly on in the 70s. LHR/AMS/LHR and ZRH/LHR.

Glory days, golden days..
I get why they have British European Airways but flying to European Countries like flying from London to Paris that’s still considered an overseas flight.
great times for air travel...sadly i was not even born in these times to experience this....now britain and other countries are down at ryanair and easyjet level
Probably a cinema advert
Sorry,, i never quite got the position of the airline in Europe. Can you repeat please
Trident "The Gripper" supposedly proved the curvature of the Earth as that was the only thing that got it off the ground. Another case of Britain's airlines telling the makers (De Haviland) what to build, and consequentially it was too small. The proposed Medway engines were never made and when wanting to enlarge the aircraft we ended up with a five engined, three engine aircraft. OK one of those was the APU, but an engine used just for takeoff is not a sign of good planning.
But they had spey's, as did the BAC 1/11, and a few military jets like the buccaneer, and certain phantoms.
Hard to imagine the shit shower easyjet marketing like this.
Horrible airline
I miss those days late 60s and 70s.
The vast majority of airplanes BEA flew are propeller driven.
