This would not be Jerry "Tyrone" Malone in The Super Boss if this footage is from 1998. It would be his truck and it is currently owned by Gary "Tiger" Ries. Tyrone Passed away in a head-on collision in Arizona in 1997 with a Semi truck after falling asleep at the wheel.

Was nice to actually see and Hear the truck. Almost every other video has silly music overdubbed over the video.
    👍💯

I remember back in the 80s I was going to UTI in Phoenix, next door to wear I worked in the morning, was a Bandag retreading shop and he showed up with I think 4 trucks most had buzzin dozens in them. Pretty much did the same thing burnouts up the street and lots of donuts. Pretty impressive at the time.

My father worked for Pete's Tire Barns, here in the northeast, they were affiliated with Bandag, as they have a retreading plant. They would have summer outings, and invited Tyrone to a few, in which I met Tyrone. As a kid, i loved it, and still think the trucks are badass today. I have a signed poster of his collection. Thanks for the video, it brings back memories, as I just laid my father to rest last month.

Quite the rolling advertisements for Bandag retreads. If they can take this punishment they can take everything your over-the-road unit dish out. Brilliant!

To bad they had to change the original wheels, these still look good. Love Tyrone's trucks.

Stock tires and wheels have too much mass for the forces that racing places on them.

@@randytaylor1258 There are stock truck tires.

I've seen a bunch on the late Shockwave exhibition truck. (R.I.P.) It, too, used stock tires but the treads were shaved down to reduce the rolling mass of those heavy-carcass tires. Otherwise the centrifugal force at speed tears the tires apart violently.

@@randytaylor1258 Ok, that part I didn't know. I could see the tire doing everything it can to fling apart.

Pretty stupid exhibition. Let's do half a dozen burnouts in a parking lot and blast our horn... Yeehaw.
