Dr.Saab thank you. Your are an inspiration to people like me and a great teacher that you are to most of those people who fail to understand the abstract concepts of human evolution. Adam represents Humanity not an individual. The problem with us Muslims is , we have knowledge but the types of just absorbing what is puked from the pulpits. We have lost our powers of observation, deduction, analysis before arriving at a conclusion. Above all, to question what people say and what we read. In fact these are the basic teachings even in the Quran Ch 25 V73 that says when talking about the servers of Rehman they are those who when reminded/adviced with the verses of Rabb do not fall on them blind n deaf. A great lecture yet again Taimur sir, a difficult one for that, for a community so drunk on superiority complex that they forgotten how to learn and progress their knowledge. To the people coming here to bad mouth evolutionary theory, please produce a counter theory that is backed by data and resolves the complexity of creation and it's progress. I think and my rationale of that thinking is based on my personal empirical evidence that Science and Religion or Religion and Science are 2 different and incomparable systems. Whilst Scientific principles can be rejected on a sufficient contradicting evidence but religion even with sufficient contradicting evidence from the world cannot be rejected since it's a theological subject - a fact book. - contd..
contd.. And me being a computer scientist and having a small degree knowledge of religion, I see the 2 systems working on very different principles. If I just cherry pick the idea of research in science and religion, they both have their own rationale and criteria of research. One of which is "how the research works" in both systems. Modern day Science comes up with a hypothesis on the basis of some evidence enunciated by the observation from the nature and tested by then with a experiment whilst modern day religion comes up with a hypothesis on the basis of some evidence enunciated by the observation from the nature and tested by then with 3 things (Quran - a law book, Ahadith - sayings of the Prophet s.a and credibility checking of the authors who quote them (knowledge of Rijaal)).
One more misunderstanding about people discussing and comparing Science and Religion is that Science is a study of nature and structure of the world whilst religion is the study of the way of life. I wouldn't expect Science to teach me how to live a life and consequently religion to tell me what's inside in an atom. That's just ridiculous.

Sir, the changes in the structure of the body due to labour are acquired these are not genetic so they can not be inherited from parents but survival for the best among diversity caused by mutation can evolve most favourable characters.

Thanks for the lecture. I think and my rationale of that thinking is based on my personal empirical evidence that Science and Religion or Religion and Science are 2 different and incomparable systems. Whilst Scientific principles can be rejected on a sufficient contradicting evidence but religion even with sufficient contradicting evidence from the world cannot be rejected since it's a theological subject - a fact book. - contd..
contd.. And me being a computer scientist and having a small degree knowledge of religion, I see the 2 systems working on very different principles. If I just cherry pick the idea of research in science and religion, they both have their own rationale and criteria of research. One of which is "how the research works" in both systems. Modern day Science comes up with a hypothesis on the basis of some evidence enunciated by the observation from the nature and tested by then with a experiment whilst modern day religion comes up with a hypothesis on the basis of some evidence enunciated by the observation from the nature and tested by then with 3 things (Quran - a law book, Ahadith - sayings of the Prophet s.a and credibility checking of the authors who quote them (knowledge of Rijaal)).
One more misunderstanding about people discussing and comparing Science and Religion is that Science is a study of nature and structure of the world whilst religion is the study of the way of life. I wouldn't expect Science to teach me how to live a life and consequently religion to tell me what's inside in an atom. That's just ridiculous.

Sir, the changes in the structure of the body due to labour are acquired these are not genetic so they can not be inherited from parents but survival for the best among diversity caused by mutation can evolve most favourable characters.

ڈاکٹر صاحب اپکا لیکچر Transition from Ape to Man کے عنوان سے میں نے سن لیا۔ میری دلچسپی سائنس میں بلکل نہیں ہے سچ اگر کہا جائے میں نے روایتی انداز سے کھبی کوئی سائنس کی کتاب بھی نہیں پڑھی ہے لیکن چونکہ میں ایک Renaissance boy ہوں اس لیے آپ کے خدمت میں نظریہ ارتقاء کے حوالے سے چند سوالات رکھتا ہوں۔
فرض کریں آپ اور داروین انکل کی بات کو تسلیم کیا جائے کے قدیم زمانے میں انسان جانور تھا اور اس کے بعد محنت کر کے انسان بنا۔ ڈاکٹر صاحب میں کہتا ہوں انسان اور جانوروں میں چند فرق ہے کوئی بندر یا جانور جتنا بھی محنت کریں یہ فرق ختم نہیں کرسکتا ہے.
مثلاً انسان کے اندر یاداشت کی خصوصیات کیسے آئی؟
کیا کوئی جانور مخصوص محنت کرنے کے بعد یاداشت کی خصوصیت پیدا کرسکتا ہے۔
دوسری بات یورپ کے ہزاروں سکالرز اور مفکر ان بات پر متفق ہے کے انسانی زندگی کے دو پہلو ہیں ایک حیوانی وجود دوسرا روحانی وجود ۔ مثلاً فرانس کے ایک فزیالوجسٹ Richet نے Thirty years of physical research نامی کتاب میں لکھا Astral Worldکا اعلان کیا
اس کے علاؤہ سیکنڑوں مغربی سکالرز، تھنیکرز بھی اس بات پر اتفاق کرتے ہیں۔ تو ڈاکٹر صاحب دماغ میں سوال آتا ہے یہ اسٹرال ولڈ کہاں سے آیا کیا کوئی جانور اگر آپکی بتائے ہوئے طریقے پر عمل کریں کیا وہ اسٹرال ولڈ کے حصول میں کامیاب ہوجائے گا۔؟
ڈاکٹر صاحب بقول آپ کے " جانور بھی بات کرسکتے ہیں اور سمجھتے ہیں" جبکہ دوسری جانب ان کی زبان میں Displacement نہیں ہوتا ہے۔
اس کے علاؤہ داروین سمیت تمام بیالوجیسٹ اس بات پر اتفاق کرتے ہیں کے chimpanzee اور انسانوں کے علاؤہ کوئی بھی جانور intercourse سے لطف حاصل نہیں کرتے ہیں۔ سوال یہ ہے باقی جانور محنت کی بنیاد پر یہ لطف حاصل کرسکتے ہیں؟
اور آخری سوال بقول داروین انسان محنت کی وجہ سے انسان بنا لیکن اب بھی تو انسان محنت کرتے ہیں پھر ان میں مزید evaluation کیوں نہیں ہوتی ہے۔
