Who was IBA OLUYOLE, the father of modern Ibadan "Oko awon Fulani"

IBA OLUYOLE is regarded by many as the father of the modern Ibadan. He was a warrior who hated slavery and fought back Fulani invaders who just raided the mighty Oyo empire. His son Arole Iba Oluyole speaks on his forefather.

Iba oluyole became the leader of Ibadan in the 19th century after the death of lakanle.he was the mercenary warrior who led bloody wars against the enemies of Ibadan and Yorubaland
He was instrumental to the defeat of one of the largest Fulani invasion in history
Because he defeated the Fulani people and Fulani were successfully repelled.
Olubadan is the royal title of the king of Ibadanland ....on rotational basis to occupy the stool on the death of a monarch.

Don't be deceived iba oluyole was the one of the destiny helper of Lagelu . Destiny helpers like Ogunmola, Ibikunle,Latosa ,Oderinlo,and many others.They contributed alot to the progress of Ibadan.Lagelu remains the authentic father of Ibadan forget about morder or old Ibadan nothing like that!
