That TOW HAUL mode is something dangerous! That’s how I dusted some rich spoiled kids in a BMW 750, trying to show off in their dad’s car… I’m no engineer, but TOW HAUL mode basically talks to the computer and tells the truck that it’s “hauling” some weight, which opens up the raw power of the engine and like you said stays in lower gears longer. The TUNDRA becomes a beast in Tow Haul mode. It almost feels like the truck needs better brakes when trying to stop after really hitting the gas on Tow Haul…
I love my new 2021 TRD PR0 I just purchased but the throttle response isn’t great. I’ve been considering a “pedal commander” but maybe tow hall mode is a better option.
Good morning Rob hope you’re well that’s a nice button I like it changes to shift points and better throttle response my opinion that show the truck should always run I’m dealing with a company WAT transmissions in Australia then I hooked up with a shop call cruiser brothers in Stockton change in the whole valve body to the transmission and put in a lockout switch for the converter so I can lock it out mini gear I want to use the motor from breaking down hills with my trailer and off-road About a $4000 upgrade be blessed
I carry lotta weight on my truck I’m running quite a bit even when I’m not telling my trailer going up hills mainly let’s DEC you release the power of the motor
@@robmotivetoo I concur with you on the heat. We're equally humid and very hot in Hawaii as well. Plus, I can't wait to see the Tundra roar like a Lion.
Great video to lead up to the sprint booster Rob, Lol. I use tow/haul mode when hauling the boat and it does make a difference but usually its off. Gonna save the real magic for the sprint booster. 👍
I learned about that tow haul button from your other video.,I tried it against a Ford F240?,he was gearing for a sprint across the intersection from a red light,as soon as green came on,I was ready with that tow haul function and screeched some rubber and within 3 seconds, he was about three truck length behind and then eased down on the pedal before getting a ticket.Lol.,from 2019 off road Tundra. Just having a little fun there folks,I don't do it all the time.
I’ll give you my feedback on how I like it I’m waiting to get on their books right now for the appointment all the parts are in it’s supposedly supposed to really transform the truck nicely we shall see
@@robmotivetoo I saw that, it may be a relative type of thing. Fewer ponies in Tacoma vs Tundra, and maybe your lift and wheels neutralized it a bit. Mine works well, I am upsizing my tires this week, just one size. Be interested in if it changes the feel.
Believe it or not the way they have that transmission configured it shipped from 1st to 2nd way too fast and it has two overdrives fifth and sixth most people just drive around in fourth gear in the city and manually shift it’s less wear and tear on your transmission
@@robmotivetoo C'mon rob: When you're playing with the Tow/Haul button to get "the jump" on everybody else - Does that attract Law Enforcement with ticket books ?

It’s pretty amazing 👍

Try the Sprint Booster 👍

Interesting 🤔. Curious to hear how it works out for you 👍

I love that classical music. Good video and thanks again. Can’t wait for your other modifications if you’re looking for stronger acceleration.
Stay tuned…the Sprint Booster is coming soon👍
Nice video with beautiful backgrounds in the RGV. Can't wait for the Sprint Booster installation for the Tundra.🤠🤛👍🥳😇🧙♂️
And HOT!!!!! Tundra install is coming 👍

When I towed my Toyhauler in tow haul setting I would get 6-8 mpg with my 2019 pro Tundra. And gave the 38 gallon gas tank a workout.
Holy mackerel Batman! How much does that toy hauler weigh?😳
Also going to install the automatic transmission cooler Toyota thought it was a good idea to delete it
A great boost to driving, but not easy on the tires. LOL
Lol! One must use restraint 😬

It’s coming soon! Installing a Sprint Booster on my Gladiator right now👍👍
Can't wait for the Sprint booster, that, I think, will be the deal breaker for me.
Was for me on the Tacoma!!👍

Same as Tacoma’s ECT function.
Absolutely not! There is no comparison between what you get out of tow haul and the Tacoma’s ECT.
@@robmotivetoo That’s odd. Mine seems to work just as you described as well as providing engine braking as needed when on.
In my 2018, it seemed to do absolutely nothing. Maybe I had a dud!!😬

@robmotivefst
Did you paint tailgate letters yourself? I too am looking for red and can't find other than cheap plastic or decals.

Does TOW/HAUL mode attract POLICE/SHERIFF ?
Huh??
