Their vocabulary always catches me off guard. Learning a new language at a conversational level is one thing but they’re able to convey their thoughts much more eloquently.
right!!??? when i stan them back then some of the members barely speak in english because they're still struggling, but voila!!! listen to them now i'm sobbing 😭 i guess rn they could surpass my conversational english fluency because i tend to speak more formally and academically rather than conversationally, since i only speak it in a class & it isn't my native language. I'm just really proud of them 😭
well one of the criteria's for fluency is conveying thoughts and feeling
Can we talk about Yeji's english? She has been very shy in the past and every time they would talk in english, she would mostly stay quiet but nowadays she is expressing herself more and more and i'm loving it. She is doing an amazing job and i'm proud of this beautiful and hardoworking woman🥺🤍

she was primarily referring to writing her own rap lyrics, which she hasn't learned to do yet (as she said in an interview during their US tour).
Yet I'm 100% sure she's got what it takes, and she'll be expressing herself in original lyrics in no time! A rap legend in the making. (I'd love to see her collab with TWICE Chaeyoung!)
@@jisunator4880 Yeah, it's dictated what concept u need to portray. No real freedom 😔 I hope in the future, JYP could be more lax. It's not just for the artist, it's also for his benefit so that not so many idols will exit the company like Rain, Sunmi and Got7 did

I actually think it’s a great sign of maturity that her and the girls have this vision and stay humble, I really hope she will get the chance to show off her talent, but not just her, I hope every idol will get the chance to be called an artist soon since for now the difference is still huge
it's insane how much english they learnt in such a short amount of time & what's more is they did it out of love for their International supporters. I will ALWAYS stand by these girls.

wait they just learned it? I was impressed the whole time like literally everyone spoke English and none just sat pretty and smiled. I knew Lia and Ryujin could speak but I didn't know the other members were so confident speaking english as well

@@arseniotegari6541 yes back in 2019 when they debuted during interviews the other members didn't participate so much and it was usually Lia speaking for them (since she has lived in Canada) but now they have all improved so much and all can speak

I remember an english interview of theirs a while ago where Yeji was the only one to answer the questions in korean. So imagine the pride I have for her seeing her answer questions in complete english sentences without any of her members' help 😢😢😢 I'm proud of all of them, but Yeji really has come a looong way 💕
I think that interview was way back when theyre in New York for dalla dalla, i think its one of them interviews. I remember the interviewers on that show really liked itzy and wanted them back. I hope they see how the girls are doing, itll make them real proud 💯

I think that having Lia, an English speaking member is a big factor on the improvement of the other members' English. It's a lot easier to learn a language if you have someone fluent to converse with.

@@Henry_44 i know she was. but back during 2019 she was still awkward with the language (to be expected bc she said she hadn’t used english for a while). she’s more comfortable now. she uses more tenses and is better at explaining her feelings.

I like how Ryujin admitted that she doesn't consider herself as an artist yet because we all know that all of their materials are from the company and they can't freely express their artistry yet. They are ALL so likeable. This is why I especially adore Itzy. I actually want to watch their other contents, not just listen to their music. They make me want to know more about them. Just an amazing group of girls, and their chemistry is another reason as to why I really adore them.

@@Robalexe well Yeji is an artist in the musical sense. One of the best in her group actually, cause she sometimes choreographs her own dances and tries to lead the group in a musical direction. All of itzy are artists technically.❤️

It’s crazy how when kpop idols start speaking your own language, all of a sudden you can see their personality way better!! Like I thought they were awesome before but now that they speak English a lot, I suddenly feel like I’m getting to know them all over again! I didn’t realize how much I was missing out on their personalities because I couldn’t understand Korean!
