Loyola plays very well together.. they play smart and tough and they still have another level they havent reached yet... i love the way those guys play the game i love
Helps they got 7 seed Nevada and 6 seed miami ans now Kansas state and possibly 9th seed fsu..sure 3 seed Tennessee was a nice win but lets see them beat 2 top 4 ranked teams before we award them a true final four ..like most teams have to get through their region has imploded and they avoided Kentucky Arizona cincy and Virginia somehow and possibly could play 2 9 seeds to get to the finals where they could play texas tech
All the rambler's games so far have been a close game and yet Loyola is the one to finish the game with a win. Will Ramblers now win the whole thing knowing God is on our side now seeing how Loyla have close games and yet they are the one to win the game.
Would be great to see the Ramblers win the NCAA on the 55th Anniversary of their 1963 title. It would also be nice if they honor the team back on campus and invite former players, especially co-captains, to attend and not leave two of them out like they did when they opened their new fieldhouse. Both resided in Chicago at the time and were never contacted, invited or attended.
Thought it would've been marshall, but loyola is good enough I like the underdogs in any sports to do the impossible... 👍 #Underdogplay #LoveIt #MoreToProve #GtownFan #Loyola
1963 National Champions (Loyola) needed Overtime to beat Cincinnati (preventing their 3-peat). Cincinnati, under coach Ed Jucker, had won Championship in 1961 and 1962. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1963_NCAA_University_Division_Basketball_Tournament
I thought that was going to happen when DePaul got deep in the tourney and watched Mark Aguirre give it away when he went for a foolhearty steal and St. Joe score an uncontested basket at the other end.
Sister* and she's a former teacher and now chaplain and head of the SMILE's program here. She worked as an instructor in Mundelein college and joined Loyola once Loyola acquired Mundelein college in 1991. She's a former nun as well and the sweetest person ever! I remember her speak several months ago at my orientation for Loyola and she has tremendous passion and strength for someone as old as she is. Go ramblers!
With the way all the Good College players leaving after one year, the NCAA tournament is wide open All these guys playing most years are just average players Not impressed either the crop of talent these days Loyola Chicago is just doing what any team today can do, and that’s beat a top 25 team Too much parody in college basketball I don’t even watch it anymore
I've always hated the "Cinderella" references during an NCAA tournament. For decades. Hate it. Call them "underdogs," or something else instead. I've never gotten out my thesaurus, but there has to be a better word. Let's be completely candid, calling a team "Cinderella" is kinda...well...fruity.
Every year we get a great Cinderella story. Loyola is it this year. Great job!!
This might be the most heartwarming story in March madness history

Tony Zhen God is not on your side.
why you so mad?
12BJJohnson I believe in God and pray every day. But it’s asinine to say God is on your side in reference to a sporting event.
