At this point Colin deep down knows Westbrook is the MVP but he's gone too far hating on him on his show where he can't really go back, like Skip Bayless on Lebron.

When Westbrook averages a triple-double Colin says its nothing special, they are engineering Russells rebounds. If LeBron would average a triple-double Colins reaction would be: Michael who? he never averaged a triple-double, LeBron the GOAT.
Alishah Pearine Adams let westbrook get rebounds so he can push the tempo of the the game and can just take off and dosent have to wait for a pass it's all strategy coach probably tells them to do this
the difference with that is LeBron gets 63% of the rebounds he goes for(highest in the league) and he doesn't really need his teamates to boxout for him.. that being said, i agree with you

Oscar Robertson thought it was pretty damn special and I'd take his opinion over Colin's any day! I've never liked Westbrook, NEVER, but when a man earns an award, like or dislike, he damn well deserves it and if Westbrook doesn't win it this year, then that award, in my opinion, is not worth any thing! Take Westbrook off OKC and not only would they be last in the West, they'd be last in the East. He didn't tank after Durant left, he's had the only triple double in a season, only Oscar has done that like back in 1960 or 70 something and there should not be any question that Westbrook should be Finals MVP, it should be unanimous, any one doesn't vote for him, I'd never value their opinion over anything else!! I really dislike Westbrook, he reminds me of Kobe and I dislike Kobe but I've never doubted the talent of either player. Kobe is like Jordan so not putting Westbrook with him but he is young and may be closer like him before his career is over. Even Kobe said in all of the league today, Westbrook is the most like him. KOBE BRYANT and on his opinions of basketball, definitely going to listen to him over the rest. Kobe did say we may see Co MVP's for first time ever but I say he's pulling for Westbrook. My point is Westbrook has earned this award so are people just talking about this for air time??? John Wall, I love John Wall, but putting him in MVP discussion, Colin, please, go educate yourself on how the MVP is awarded. SMDH!!!

Goat yes.. that's how guys averaged 50pts/25rbds and 19pts/24rbs in 1962..with other team members averaging over 10 rbds can you even imagine someone average 25rbs over a week further more a season? of course they were more possessions so more shots so more assists and more rebounds off misses.

Westbrook has a higher usage rate than Robertson did(which means more touches), Robertson played defense during his(Westbrook has less than 200 total contested shots), Robertson didn't get any long rebounds because there were no 3 pointers, Robertson shot better than Westbrooks 42%, shall I continue???
Westbrook is a good player, but Robertson's triple double was WAY more impressive.
AugDuckScout I don't see how you could bother to discredit Russ just because he has a higher usage rate.Putting up nearly 32,10 & 10 with a roster where you're second leading scorer has been inconsistent & nobody else is good at creating their own shot, shouldn't lead to you being penalized.
Russ is putting up a triple double averaging 10 less minutes per game than Oscar & getting this while not playing in a pace anywhere close to what the Big O did.I am not trying to discredit Oscar to elevate Russ, I simply don't agree in anyway with this not being impressive.People want to point out the lack of contested jumpers by Russ but their 31-7 when gets TDs.Doesn't seem to hurt them much.

I'm with Broussard. Collin's argument make you wonder wether he has ever played basketball and knows what it really means to be down there and pick rebounds. It is a tough project for small men man. I know it hurts Collin so much that Russell has proved him wrong on who was responsible for OKCs failure last season. Just accept and acknowledge what this guy is doing. If all the greats appreciate what he is doing who are you not to, I mean u have never even stepped on court to throw some hoops down.

Colin, when you're playing at the Y with your buddies you aren't gonna think "Hmmmm I wonder if I have 10 points, rebound, assist yet etc." Most guys don't even realize they got a triple double till the end of a game. Guys like Jason Kidd, Grant Hill, etc were just playing basketball.

Why wouldnt Donovan want Russ to grab the rebound after a free throw miss? Why would he want somebody other? When Russ gets the rebound he can start the transition a second earlier. This is the difference between effective and deadly. Boxing out for Russ is the easiest way to make their transition game faster and more deadly!

I'm telling you, once Russ gets a little older and he's not averaging a TD, we won't see this happen for years and years again.. then people will miss this time.. "Remember when Russ averaged a TD, every game he was a beast, I wish he was still playing in the league, nobody will ever be like him.. etc".. live in the moment cause after this year, we might not ever see this happen again... at least for a long time.

Lebron over the last few games COULD get a triple double too. He would be usually no more than two rebounds or assists away from getting a triple double. so as Colin once said, LeBron could average a triple double if he wanted, and so it is not really the sole factor for being MVP.

It's a complicated topic but Russ is getting some empty rebounds with help from his teammates. It doesn't really matter tho. A triple double is a triple double. His team mates have his back. No one seems to mind. They are 31-7 when he gets a triple double. You can't be little what Russ is doing. He plays harder than anyone in the NBA on a nightly basis.
