Olivia just passed away this week from cancer. She fought her battle for 30 years on and off. She started back in the Late 60 to 70's. She has a slew of hits. chech her out. Rip Olivia. Thank you for your beautiful voice.
She’s an amazing vocalist. Check her performance of her song “Sam” live in 1982 to hear some stunning vocals and range. Here’s the link: th-cam.com/video/fYr1ek6NbEc/w-d-xo.html
I rather performances on recorded vinyl, tape, digital, over live. Live gets you somebody on a good day, or a terrible day. Recorded versions are like seeing the real Mona Lisa, rather than a copy. Recording to me are masterpieces, and live is like a rendition of the masterpiece. Live, she's very good, but recorded, she's perfection.
This is a FIRE performance! It was on the charts forever. So glad to hear that a new generation can appreciate the massive talent that she was, no auto-tune just natural talent! I had the great pleasure of meeting her at a cocktail party 11 years ago. So lovely, so beautiful and so down to earth! RIP to this angel among us, for way too brief a time!!! She sold 100 MILLION albums!
Oh my God! Thanks for this reaction. If you are looking for stunning vocals from Olivia, please check out her live performance of "Sam" in 1982 th-cam.com/video/EiGwXt82wqU/w-d-xo.html . The high notes in there are incredible! It's one of the best vocal performances I've heard from anybody.

you will have a difficult moment, the death of the very beloved singer Olivia Newton John, who fought with great dignity for many years with a serious illness I was lucky enough to see this movie "Grease" (1978) at the time (I was 20/21 years old) initially born from the success saga of Travolta and the BeeGees with "Saturday Night Fever" from 1977, finally "Grease" had its own flight and has been an extraordinary musical success both singles from the Travolta-Newton John duo were #1 worldwide "Hopeslly devoted to You" is a soft and beautiful ballad that allows Olivia to shine with a magnificent interpretation. there's a video with a scene from the movie Sandy (Olivia's character) is at a 'girls' night out' after a run-in with Danny (Travolta's character) the song fits perfectly with all the movie and its moment in the beginning Olivia and John were close friends over the years They met again several times, and also for movie anniversaries I leave you this link Olivia and John singing together live after more than 30 years the biggest worldwide hit 1978: "You're the one that I want" th-cam.com/video/WvOWox2o5cU/w-d-xo.html Olivia also had a special friendship with the brunette Frida Lyngstad (from the Swedish ABBA) Olivia represents the UK at Eurovision 1974, the year ABBA win with their smash hit "Waterloo" in 1978 Olivia does a TV special and invites ABBA and Andy Gibb (the younger brother of the Bee Gees) and the six of them sing together live In that 1978 TV special They performed live your singles worlwide hits: Olivia: "Hopeleslly devoted to You" Andy: "Shadow Dancing" ABBA" "Take a chance on me" In 1979 Olivia is one of those invited by Bee Gees to participate in the Concert for UNICEF, singing a song and doing a duet with Andy Gibb (that night BeeGees sang their hit "Too much heaven" and ABBA premieres their future hit "Chiquitita") Thanks so much for these reaction and homenage to the dearest Olivia Newton John GOD bless you My best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina P.S.: apart Olivia Newton John you could do a reaction to Andy Gibb and ABBA songs of these TV special
Huge, major artist for 5 decades! A talent like we'll never see again. Thanks for reacting. There's an endless amount of songs and videos of hers you could react to. Suggestions: "A Little More Love", "Magic", "Twist of Fate". I will be subscribing to you! :)
19 years young in 1978...and with my lovely girlfriend to the movies in Amsterdam to see Grease...My girl dressed up like the girls in the movies, and i...black short suede booths with at one side a small white comb..hahahaha ..memory lane..
Please try her sing called Magic. Both Michael Jackson and John Lennon said it was one of their favorite songs. I think it's the best song she ever did even though physical was her biggest moneymaker and the number one song for the whole decade of the '80s.
You simply must listen to Olivia sing 'Magic' in 1978, one of her biggest ever hits. Then compare that live performance to her (live) 'Magic' in 2017. Very different, yet amazing.
Not all vocalist are "power" vocalist. She was reserved, before the days where singers felt the need to showboat. Her vocals are measured and restrained, focusing on notes and high reaching range. She's not a Mariah or Whitney type, but a laid back, cool, sweet, soprano. She's got many beautiful sung songs, but not ever great performance was featured as singles. All in all, in top 10 most successful female singers of all time.
She is the very first artist I looked up to. She gave me my very first autograph when I was 8 in 1980.
If you want to know Olivia's true range, watch her concert/TV special in 1984 when she sings "Jolene" and "Sam", it's incredible.
The voice of an Angel.
She sold over 100 million records.
RIP dear sweet Oliva
She sang this in the movie Grease. She’s an absolute Icon💔
She was an amazing woman. Nobody ever had a bad word to say about her.

I love this live version of this song, the drum beat is so perfect and Olivia has the voice of an angel.

British born moved to Australia at five. She sang this song as sandy in the famous movie grease. RIP 🙏
She has a great rendition of “anyone who had a heart”. That’s a pretty good power ballad if you ask me.
Check out songs from the movie "Grease". Especially "You're the One that I Want" duo sung by Olivia and John Travolta. Amazing and fun!
