I use the larger XPND pedalboard, so nice. It's sturdy but kinda heavy. I also use D'addario EXL110 (10-46) it's my favorite string set!

Thank you so much Tomo for sharing with all of us, what i find fascinating about strings and most guitar products is so much has change and then again nothings really changed. Take for example the quarter plug cables after 50 years "maybe more I'm not sure," we are still using them to this day the same with the pedals and pedal boards. String quality is super, super important! sometimes I get little steel splinters on the tips of my fingers from cheap guitar strings and they hurt, hard to see them but I can definitely feel them, so yes I agree string quality is important. Cheers!

I do agree that the bamboo is better used for cheese and salami. You did make me consider new things for pedal boards though. thank you!

D'Addario is where it is at for sure. Love those vintage Gibson small body acoustics! I can't play my wife's 1970 model, frets are about gone. Fix it one day, or not..Great sound.

    tomoさん、63年Gibson、素晴らしいサンバーストですね!私のコピーのmountain(林楽器)のSouthern jumboも1978年前後ですが、枯れていいsoundになってきました。👍

If you think about how a string makes sound, covering the string with a "tube" or coating it will limit the number of times it vibrates and limit the intensity of how it vibrates.
So, for optimal tone, I use uncoated strings, especially on my "expensive" acoustic guitars or if I am recording. I used to really like the Dean Markley Blue Steel strings for my custom Strat but D'Addario XL are great too. For my acoustics, I use John Pearse when I can find them. Otherwise I use phosphur/bronze D'Addario.
I still use coated strings on some guitars with really old frets or if I have to perform a lot.

Nice pedalboard, appears to be a good length for a half dozen or so pedals. I'm assuming the length was fully expanded since it reached end to end inside the case. Unfortunately the case doesn't appear as though it would be wide enough to accommodate wah or volume pedals. Most are so long I'm not sure they would fit without bulging on one side or even if the case would be able to zip closed with them attached to the board, which would mean having to carry them separately.
I'm almost positive that over time they'll create a pedalboard and case that's big enough to hold more, if it doesn't already exist. In fact I'm going to go check for it now lol.
    Thanks for the info, Tomo!

Tomo I'm playing all my life with nylons now I decided to try electric for the first time. My question is simple. Tele or Strat?

Thanks Tomo for another great and funny video. Those patch cables are very handy, do you find that your signal remains quiet with them or is there some negligible noise? I have considered using those.
