Singers never sing others singer songs in live concert coz people just compare it with the original but arijit is so simple, down to earth by his nature and very much far away from stardom he never hesitate to do so.
Honestly arijit is so humble and so sweet he live near my house and he visits here every festive season! By that i mean durga pujo in October. He rome around just like anyone else. You will never feel you are really standing with the ARIJIT SINGH litterly one of the best singers india has ever produced ❤
So his behavior makes the nearby plots more costly😂

he sung it very casually here. He has sung it much better in other piano medleys. His live piano medleys are a joy to watch... Since there are hardly any top vocalists in India who can play any instrument and then comes Arijit who plays everything
All the top vocalists india can play harmonium. Some of them can even play other instruments.
Please check out Arijit's latest song Main Parwana from pippa! Its composed by AR Rahman and is such an adorable upbeat track that showcases a different side of his vocals. And the female vocals are lovely too! To top it all off the choreo and dance is nuts!

I just think that we Indians generally have a capacity to have some harmony, melody, ability to catch the rhythm of songs because music songs are just culturally spiritually religiously embedded within us. Like there are literal games about singing, in classes of schools, colleges etc singing and dancing in leisure time is a first typical option/ thing. So given all this, along with the classical music training, I think its very comfortable and easy for our talented singers to be so breezy in their performances where we go awestruck.
I attended Arijit's concert this year in Auckland and it was one of the most magical days of my life. There is this section in his concert where he performs a medley of songs mostly in chronological order. They are not sung by him. They date back as far as the '70s-80s to early 2010s. Even though I am a 90s kid. I knew each and every song he performed as part of that medley. Songs that my parents loved and I, as a kid, used to hear all the time. and it's just a very timeless moment. All the audience members sang it with him to the point that his voice was drowned in the arena. It just makes us feel united through music and it's a kind of nostalgia. I am pretty sure every person in that concert, no matter their age, was brought back to those times of the past. It's really hard to explain it in words. When it's your native language, you get the lyrics so much more than their literal meaning. Things that are lost in translation. This medley section was quite long...20 minutes or so. And to me was the best part of the concert. Like I haven't seen many artists performing NOT their songs during their concerts. This was truly a treat.
Please check out Main Parwana. Arijit's singing is almost like a Kishore Kumar style. The Maestro Rahman composed it. I am an Arijitian. Arijit's singing like I said is something else. If you think Binte Dil is something, well Main Parwana is a something. Again, I'm an Arijitian.

Please check out "Bairi Piya" and "humesha tumko chaha" from Devdas. Udit ji sounds so amazing on these tracks. Also, I think you guys should watch Devdas (you've also mentioned about wanting to watch this movie a few times). The musical composition,the bgm and the theme music in this movie are just beautiful! You both will love it:)
No where near udit , arjit is really a vocal for new generation but the melody and trueness of udit cannot match him ...udit was one of the greatness
Pehla Nasha is a masterpiece but it doesnt sound that good on arijits voice....the original version which was sung by udit narayan is amazing...❤

Arijit never opened his mouth properly in his earlier times that's why It is sounding decent...but now in recent live concert medleys he is opening his mouth nicely and he sounds soothing
When it's a song I like, I enjoy listening to it sung well, no matter who it is. Stripped or not is fine. Usually for the classics we will sing along harder hehe.
