    Oh this is awful. So out of touch. SO privileged. I adore Lilou but am saddened when i see this sort of naive and self absorbed dribble is produced. This is when i wish she actually was a more inquisitive interviewer…and smart. She's really nice and that has it's limits. Evidence here.

    I've watched Robert Young's videos since he was on New Realities. I stopped watching most of these new age, mumbo jumbo interviews, episodes, series and so forth. But I ended up receiving this video on my Vimeo account, and watched it. Its funny how I still find Robert Young's insight into reality beautiful, and profound. Lately I've been reading a lot of philosophy, and this reminds me of Heidegger's later perspectives on phenomenology. When I was much younger, I think its been 4 or 5 years now, I'm 22 now, I would have dreams of Robert, and he would show me these miracles hes speaking of. It was a wild trip back then. But even now, in my philosophical stage, I'm reminded of the miraculous. Thanks for the Video Lilou, Robert, and Barbara.

    I agreed with many of his comments, however I feel that his perspective is somewhat simplistic and come from a position of priviledge. I cannot see how his approach to negative circumstsnces is applicable to everyone for example children who are left to survive in warzones, women who have been forced into sexual slavery and those born into grave poverty. Perhaps this will apply to Western life but leaves out the struggles of many who have no control over their circumstances

    • @jaykay415
      @jaykay415 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is exactly my question with much of today's approach to spirituality. A lot of the prominent people in the field seem so complacent about profound human suffering.

    • @AndromedaImagination77
      @AndromedaImagination77 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yeah it's been always something I never got a clear answer for.. There's a video of Abraham talking about this and they make good points but yet it's never the answer we'd like to hear.. All I can say is, we are, in a sense, a whole, some sort of bigger entity as a species, so whatever is going on outside, even if it's miles away its happening in us, see it as a transformation, as a war, as conflict of polarities, etc.. So what do we do? the answer seems to be always "change yourself if you want to see change in the world" and I never quite understand how if i better myself, a kid in gaza won't die, but yet I guess I understand change wont happen overnight. We gotta remember that we do alter the human species field and I guess from that perspective, if I am feeling good and have good intentions for the world (and of course I do as much as I can in my life to help) the field's balance gets better, and interconnectedness might help change others we never even met. Also, some people have been through the worst and became something incredible. Search for Teal Swan, she was raped and torture as a kid for many years and she's one of the biggest spiritual teachers now, she talks about her life with reasoning and logic, she has some good explanations..

    • @Clarissaloui
      @Clarissaloui 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Queconchudos that's a really useful explanation and expands upon these complex issues in a way that makes sense

    • @jaykay415
      @jaykay415 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yes, and I suppose there is the idea of the "spiritual contract" in which we choose experiences to learn lessons, and there is also the idea of doing what one is called to do, for example, providing food to starving people...so both of those things answer the question too...but as you say, it doesn't feel quite right to think the existence of starving people, for example, is okay because they've chosen it!

    • @darlenewolfe312
      @darlenewolfe312 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      jaykay415 yes agree in ways what you express yet as you state spiritual contracts does that not answer your question as a place to grow and experience from? Say a young child in India part of a slave sex trade but broke free due to circumstances by their own free will to learn their self worth issue. Or like here where I teach art in beach community this Young Teen from Nigeria has a sponsor family and may adopt him since his parents were killed and grandma can not afford to care for him. Since he has been here in our community in the US he has graced his love and appreciation and as such shifted many kids in just how to be gracious for the small things in life. I have such love for his presence here beyond measure showing us all love of life his gift and sure we all have our own perspective of our gifts to share shining our brilliance.

  • @MikeServis
    @MikeServis 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I like Robert - he does as good a translation as possible between the physical and non physical with his metaphors and analogies. I feel that anything that can be explained with words is limited and limited knowledge does not promote unlimited understanding. It's like Robert said “you have to know you can” Robert is in tune with unlimited understanding.

  • @DavidBreslow

    Interesting how she keeps trying to label everything he says in the first 15 minutes and every time she tries he says no.
    I can understand why many people see him as vague and difficult to understand and that happens a lot with people who are thinking at that level.
    In my opinion, it is up to the interviewer do dig deeper and ask for more clarity instead of just laughing and saying okay :-). Interviews like these really need analogies and specific examples for them to connect to a lot of people. And that is the responsibility of the interviewer in my opinion to ask for them and not just nod their head an agreement. It's unfortunate because many people can get lost in the message without those analogies and very specific and understandable examples

    • @DavidBreslow
      @DavidBreslow 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In addition when you're talking to someone like that is really important to ask for specific examples which I hardly ever hear her doing

    This is amazing! So much of what he is saying I have been thinking about myself recently. I even was thinking the other day about a story, of seeing earth from the perspective of another race, and I though, "I went to earth and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt!" And Robert just said this too. I am always having intuitive experiences, but still I need to learn how to let who I am flow in this life. Also the thinking about the future, and bring that to our present, that is a very important lesson to follow, Like driving from one destination to another, we focus on where we want to get to and that becomes our rope, our route, our destiny. :-)

  • @Mildred_McRaven

    A little hard to follow & incoherent I found. I also found his “don’t think about it & it isn’t there approach” simplistic, patronising & even borderline dangerous - for people with ocd-type disorders, telling someone to “don’t think about [something]” is wrong & irresponsible. Don’t think about a pink elephant, just STOP! Honestly it can just make such thoughts (and fears) much, much stronger.

    I too live a lot of time in the future, (most importantly...the future I want) and when this is a practice of ones life you sometime are so surprised when the present is recognized you are living what use to be in your dreams. I sometime have to sit and map out how I attained what is presently happening to me, because I have always known it to be. The ironic thing about it is I do not feel like I am aging any (you would think time is flying by you). It is truly amazing.

    When are we going to organise an international conference where all these wonderful people can come together and federate? There are many organisations local and international such as charities and trusts who care deeply about humanity. What prevents them from forming a global federation together with governments? To me it seems that within humanity is a warring nation, that may be the global macro expression of anger, hatred and other negative emotions found in a very small degree within each of us. If we see how small this is within each of us, we can see clearly how small is it within the wider community. And why do we choose this minute part of our psyche to rule us? Especially when we have so many positive attributes within us as individuals and as a global society?

    • @rssbrisson

      Many people when then stumble upon maybe unearned power become corrupt.
      Their egos inflate and they become fear. Then they need to start over bucking their own negative momentum, which is okay, but there is plenty of room for the opposite right now.

  • @Aage152

    I am a little bit confused here.
    You say that "belief .. is the worst thing you can have"
    (time index ca. 13:20)
    ...
    This is a site from King James Bible 1982, where Jesus is
    saying:
    Joh 20:29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me,
    you have believed. Blessed [are] those who have not seen and [yet] have believed."
    (Copied from The computer version.)
    Is Jesus really wrong about this?

    • @Aage152
      @Aage152 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. my unknown friend. There is not a difference between beliving and belief. But there MAY be a different in the background - for DOING it.
      ---
      Some must have proof .. for beliving - as
      Thomas demanded .. for beliving that Jesus had risen from the dead. Jesus is telling Thomas that "Beliving without seeing" is a truer belief, than beliving .. out from proof.
      ---
      So your statement .. connected to Jesus, is correct.
