Great episode. RNRO is my favorite album by a long shot and I feel like I'm in the minority but see you in your dreams tonight is one of my all time favorite songs and have been hoping they would play it live in some capacity.
I had been introduced to KISS by my older brother and has regretted it ever since but he showed me KISS Alive in seventy five and by the end of that year I had all the albums to that point, but the next year my brother's friend stopped by and shower me the album destroyer and the artwork. Seeing the cover for the very first time I have never had a feeling like never before or since, during those years the band had a contract saying they have to do two albums each year so it was destroyer, the originals, the rock and roll over.
The kip winger, paul gilbert and greg bissonette cover of i want you on spin the bottle is just stunning. The vocals and guitar solo are just out of this world
Got Rock And Roll Over Christmas of 76. Favorite for the last 10 years or so. Funny thing not much of a fan of Hard Luck Woman or See You In Your Dreams but all the other songs are so good it’s just nothing better for me. Favorites I Want You Take Me Calling Dr. Love Mr. Speed Makin’ Love
All the songs with the exception of see you in your dreams and baby driver is a 10 perfect score album, the music, the cover is the whole package of what kiss means for me... the only thing missing is an ace song and all the live versions of the songs go up to 11, especially calling dr. love my all time favorite version is from argentina 2022
There is a awesome interview with Dennis Woloch by Claudio Bergamin. They cover all the album art from the first record up to Crazy Nights. So many things they covered I did not know about. It's here on YT if anyone wants to check it out.
RARO is a great classic Kiss album. The super great songs are I Want You, Take me,Calling Dr Love and Makin Love. It's a fun album but it's not in my top 10 albums and I definitely dont play this album much. The songs that were on Alive 2 are the only ones that grab me. LG is my favorite album and is miles better in my opinion. My first 2 albums were LG and Alive 2 and only discovered RARO in 1984. It seems like the favorite Kiss albums with Fans are either Destroyer, LG or RARO which are great selections. I'm really enjoying these episodes!
I saw KISS in 76 and 77 in Omaha. I havent been able to find which tours I saw. Was it Destroyer and Rock and Roll Over? Or was it Rock and Roll Over and AliveII?
Eddie had asked him to rate The Kiss Albums he played on....and he put Rock N Roll Over towards the end....thats when he said..."i dont even remember recording the album!"
According to Ace when he was on "That Metal Show" with Eddie he said when it came to Rock n Roll over he didnt even remember recording the album cause he was so out of it.....
I think this album would TOTALLY be better if it had an Alive 2 Side 4 type of production...or an Ace Frehley '78 style of production. I think Bob Ezrin could have improved this album....
Totally agree about Ladies Room. Just an ok song for me. I also never understand all the love Mr. Speed gets. It’s good but fans seem to love it and to me it’s just a mid level song.
Yes Peter did contribute to Kiss and rock music but other things got in the way and his performance and personality eventually hurt the band. Both in the late 70s and in the late 90s. He stopped growing as a musician!
Please keep the KISS content coming. I absolutely love these videos.
Would be super cool to see a look back at Hot in the Shade
Great episode. RNRO is my favorite album by a long shot and I feel like I'm in the minority but see you in your dreams tonight is one of my all time favorite songs and have been hoping they would play it live in some capacity.
That’s what I love! Everyone has different opinions on different songs! Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the episode.

I look forward to your looks back. That was fun to say. Ha. Ty!!
Paul's contributions to RnRO were staggering. Absolutely phenomenal. I Want You, Take Me, Mr Speed, Hard Luck Woman, Making Love.
100%!
Fun episode. Dressed To Kill and Rock 'n' Roll Over are my personal favorit 70s KISS albums. Raw Rock 'n' Roll music with great melodies and hooks. 🤘🤘
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
GREAT SHOW GUYS!.....THE ALBUM IS EPIC!
The kip winger, paul gilbert and greg bissonette cover of i want you on spin the bottle is just stunning. The vocals and guitar solo are just out of this world
Greg Bissonet he was my nephews drum teacher....He used to go to his house in Westlake village....for his lessons in Greg's studio....
Listening to Dr Love off alive 2 .....well I'm a 1st generation Kiss fan....and I'm 55 so it's probably my favorite Kiss song to listen to all around.
Heard Calling Dr Love at a skating rink in Winston Salem in 1976 , I was 9 years old. Started my love for Kiss. RARO is still my favorite by them
Got Rock And Roll Over Christmas of 76. Favorite for the last 10 years or so. Funny thing not much of a fan of Hard Luck Woman or See You In Your Dreams but all the other songs are so good it’s just nothing better for me.
Favorites
I Want You
Take Me
Calling Dr. Love
Mr. Speed
Makin’ Love
Can’t go wrong with those songs!!
@@therockexperiencewithmikeb8365 oh ya also I take Ladies Room Alive II over studio
Another great episode!

I've always considered Ace's solos on RARO to be the absolute peak of his guitar playing. His overall tone and attack is very powerful.
Probably not him on Half of it.
@@martymartin2894Go to bed little man...its past your bedtime🤫
Agree...the solo on Calling Dr Love is in my top three fave Ace solos
Or the Love Gun lp

Dr. Love is very quintessential KISS. Baby Driver is my favorite track but the whole album rocks.
Peter Criss's vocals are underrated! Cool rock and roll voice!
I saw KISS in 76 and 77 in Omaha. I havent been able to find which tours I saw. Was it Destroyer and Rock and Roll Over? Or was it Rock and Roll Over and AliveII?
They played Omaha on Feb 8, 1977 during the RNRO tour and Nov 30, 1977 as part of the Alive II tour.
@@therockexperiencewithmikeb8365 thanks for the info. my ticket stubs say 76 and 77
Gene's alive 2 version of Dr Love.....is epic!
A very underrated album but such a great album
I've always liked the demo of Mr speed better than what ended up on the album. And did I hear right Bob Kulick play lead guitar on the demo?
Yes, according to the box set that’s Bob Kulick on guitar on the demo.
Hard Luck Woman is really "You Wear it Well."
I can hear that.
Great lp...
Eddie had asked him to rate The Kiss Albums he played on....and he put Rock N Roll Over towards the end....thats when he said..."i dont even remember recording the album!"
Is that Gene or Peter doing the "HIGH HIGH" "Take MEEEE" part during the two Houston shows in '77?
I’m pretty certain that’s Gene.
Its Gene....
Poison debut album LOOK WHAT CAT DRAGGED IN album cover artwork is based on Rock n Roll Over artwork
if you look close you can see it
Interesting. I’ve never looked at LWTCDI that way. Hmmmmm.
According to Ace when he was on "That Metal Show" with Eddie he said when it came to Rock n Roll over he didnt even remember recording the album cause he was so out of it.....
In my opinion their best album back to meat and potato! No fancy orchestra stuff or small kids noice etc.
1:31 Hola, cómo estás? 😂
Hello, how your doing?
I think this album would TOTALLY be better if it had an Alive 2 Side 4 type of production...or an Ace Frehley '78 style of production. I think Bob Ezrin could have improved this album....
I like Eddie Kramer but this albums guitars needed more beef. A little too thin for me. Solos good but overall needed more .
*Rock and Roll Over* to me is the summation of the KISS philosophical approach. Not a dud in the bunch.
I prefer the "Alive II" versions of all the songs off of "Rock and Roll Over".
She Peter would have done Baby Driver live....
Ignore the she....
I wish that Peter would have done Baby driver live....
@@chrisbohner1092 yep great tune raunchy groove.
Dressed to Kill is part one...
And Rock n Roll Over is part two...
And they released 3 albums in 1976...
Destroyer
The Originals
Rock and Roll Over
True about the Originals, but I meant new music.
Totally agree about Ladies Room. Just an ok song for me. I also never understand all the love Mr. Speed gets. It’s good but fans seem to love it and to me it’s just a mid level song.

Nah, the next year came love gun followed by alive 2 shock me where he became the first to actually sing and playing at the top of his game
Ladies Room....live is better in my oppinion.
