Last time these two team faced off, Vashon escape with a 1 point victory from a controversial call in the last second of the 4th quarter. After that game, many have said that Vashon will lose in playoff against Trinity. The tension was rising day by day leading up to this game about if the Texas football commit (Marcus Washington) was on the court along with Illinois commit Isaiah Williams and others then it would make the game unquestionable about Trinity beating Vashon.
Vashon made a statement and silence the whole city with the 70-53 win over Trinity Catholic to advance in the final four state run at Missouri State.
