My son got stuck too, doc had to use the suction cup and tongs. His right lung almost collapsed so we had to stay an extra day for monitoring and then my son started having seizures, he was flown to childrens by helicopter and we found out he suffered a brain injury from the tongs and it caused a vein to burst in his brain and he started to have seizures and we found out he had nerve damage on the right side of his body and we were told he would never run or play sports. He was on seizure meds his whole first year but he never had another seizure and he can run and do everything a normal boy can do. He's almost 16 now, he did have a speech delay and was put in speech therapy and OT at 3 and at 6 was diagnosed with dyslexia. It could have been a different outcome. We are blessed for sure!
