I just added the rear pulse bar to my 21 Ranger XP1000 Crew. Installation was a lot easier than expected because Polaris already has the holes drilled and the cutout done for the plug pass through. So if you are planning this upgrade on a newer machine it should be much easier. Took me about 30 minutes total and I didn’t take anything off the machine to install mine.
@UTV DIRT very detailed , clean looking install Mr Mike, love how you showed the whole install from start to finish. Now I can’t wait to see what you install next😬 ! Keep um coming y’all! 👍🏻
well i bought a dermal tool and went to cut the cut out. i don't have the room to get it in there. so back to the weather again, next try will be with my sonic tool. but today i got the bus bar mounted and i moved my 50 inch light bar up to the top of the windshield.
well i got mine the other day, so weather permitting. one thing i noticed between the 2018 and the 2020. is the hole you cut out in the back of the cab is vertical in the 2018 and horizontal in the 2020. and it seems it a little tighter area in the 2020.
Lol yeah I know right! I thought they would of contacted me for the release of the new 2020 Polaris Ranger 1000. I am basically the only one that has a TH-cam channel dedicated to the Polaris Ranger. Lol
@@UTVDIRT basically it's the same on the 2020. but like i said the only difference is the hole you cut out for the plug to go through the wall. and i'm going to try my sonic tool to cut it out.
Great video.. I'm trying to install on Ranger XP 1000 crew northstar edition.. I've asked Polaris if the roof bar kit will install and they say "yes." Do you have any experience with installing on a crew vehicle? I don't see where to plug into the vehicle electrical harness. Also, no cut out location to mount the roof bar harness to the vehicle. Many thanks!
I have not installed one on any crews. If you have a polaris roof it should mount right to the roof and wiring harness should be the same when you open the bed the plugs are right there.
@@UTVDIRT yeah i got that later, i thought that was just the bus bar alone as it didn't refer to it as kit. i was trying to get it from a couple other places. they had the bus bar but not the roof kit. so i had to call my dealer and have parts order it for me.
@@UTVDIRT as much as i am adding to my Ranger Premium i would have been better off just buying one that had most of it already on it. like you i have add the half doors from thumper fab as well as the rear bumper and the light on the front bumper. i have also add a light bar at the bottom of the windshield (50in) but i'm fixing to move it just above the windshield. 4 in lights on the back of the cab. and non of these have been hook up yet. why because i'm hesitant at tackling the wiring harnesses' my son and i were going to start one day but i called it due to weather (yep no garage just a barn and not much in the way of lighting let alone the distance to my workshop). and the winch is on the way. if i don't get it done myself i'll have the dealer do it when i take it in for that recall, already checked it will run me about $400. to have them do it.

Cool idea. I wasn’t aware of this product. I might have to look into this for myself now. Keep up the great videos guys!
Thanks Joshua!

Great work guys. Keep em comin!
You could use 3 M doubled side tape, that stuff will hold anythin
Do you have any pics or vids that show your roof mounted pulse in use with added accessories?
No I never added any accessories with the roof busbar. I think its mainly for the crew and Northstar Rangers.
@@UTVDIRT yeah I just picked up a 20' Northstar. Was just curious what it looked like all set up with accessories plugged in!
Thanks👍
@@fullthrottle2656 Nice! Congrats on your new Northstar!
where did you get it or what is the part number. i looked on Polaris everything and i can't find it.
I have a link of the part in the description of the video.

oh yeah and eventually an AM/FM radio and the electric wiper. just a simple radio and a couple of small speakers.
Why didn’t you run the beacon light off of your roof pulse bar?
I could of done that but didn't think about it to I already ran it the other way. Thanks for watching!
do you think you could install the busbar on a new 2019 ranger 900xp?
This kit is for xp 1000 only and wont work on a xp 900. Sorry.
What is the part # for those harnesses ?
I have a link in the description of the video for the parts I used.
Thank you
You gonna need another battery soon lol
Yep pretty soon.
