This was probably my favorite track of the whole Homeworld series. The environment of the mission it plays in is what makes it so great. The music is haunting, but at the same time oddly peaceful. It's mesmerizing against the sky-blue nebula covering the background.
As much as the Emergency Hyperspace might irk some, it does actually help a lot when it comes to saving the Faal-Corum in the next mission, assuming your fleet position is timely.
I don't think there's an uncompressed version, alas. I wish someone had the original files pre-compression. It's by sheer luck that Paul Ruskay had the tapes for the original's soundtrack when they went to do the remaster for Homeworld 1.

That's the only mission you use emergency escape to hyperspace, leaving your brethren to die. Did anyone managed to kill all taidans in this one?
Depends on which difficulty.
Holding out long enough to get the transports on-board is already a struggle, let alone getting your strike craft back.
It's not the only emergency hyperspace mission. There's at least 1 other.
@@macdjord EH as an option happens if enemies are too close when you are jumping out.
Oh yeah, Emergency Hyperspace can be useful in the Debris Field mission too, after the Siege Cannon fails and the Mothership starts rushing you.
